How to Get Spider Silk
Getting Spider Silk can be quite tricky, especially if you find yourself in the middle of a lot of spiders. But you can increase your chances of survival by looking in less hostile places.
The first way of getting Spider Silk is by killing the smaller spider children called Spiderlings. These give out a few Spider Silk. To get more Spider Silk, you will have to go to the western part of the map and then enter the cave. When you drop down into the cave, you will come across Spider Webs which can allow you to harvest Spider Silk by hitting at them. This is the best source of getting a lot of Spider Silk.
The cave does contain other bugs that will attack you, but you might be lucky enough to miss the spiders themselves. When you have better armor and weapons and feel confident enough to take on the big spiders, you can find them near the big tree. Killing spiders and then looting them will give you Spider Silk as well.
