In this Red Dead Redemption 2 All Stranger Missions Guide, we will go through every Stranger Mission, or side missions that you will encounter and have to complete in the game. Completing all of these missions are important if you are looking to achieve 100% completion of the game.

Aside from the main Story Missions of the game, there are many side missions where different characters will involve you in various tasks and challenges throughout the story. There are 20 Stranger Missions that are in Red Dead Redemption 2 that are found in different Chapters of the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 All Stranger Missions Guide

Below we will go through every Stranger Mission location, the quest giver and the mission details.

The Noblest of Man, and a Woman

This quest can be found in Valentine and is given by Theodore Levin and Jim Boy Calloway. In this quest, in a saloon in Valentine, Theodore Levin will ask you to get statements from 4 characters and pose for a photo. You need to go to every one of these people, whose location will be marked on the map.

The first person, Flaco Hernandez is located north near the frozen Cairn Lake. Flaco can be found in a cabin with a few of his men around him who you will have to fight. Flaco will then want a duel where you have to take him down as well. Complete this part by taking a picture of Flaco’s dead body.

The second person is Emmet Granger whose location will b marked on the map. Go to his farm where he will be next to his pigs. Talk to him where he gives you the chore to shovel pig droppings in exchange for his statement. After the chore, Emmet will go against his word where you will have to put some dynamite in the pig droppings to blow up. This will start a duel where you have to kill Emmet and take a photo of him.

The third person is Billy Midnight can be found in Rhodes Train Station where the clerk will tell you that he will be in the next two trains. Board the first train that comes to the station and go to the last wagon where you can find Billy Midnight. He will try to run off, which will end up in a duel with Arthur. Kill Billy and photograph his corpse.

The last person is Black Belle who can be found in a large house in the Bayou north of Saint Denis. She will be expecting many bounty hunters coming for her. You can take cover on the platform from the fight where around 30 killers will be attacking. Once the fight has finished, Belle will pose for the photo for you.

The last part of the mission can be completed after completing the Chapter 4 mission “A Fine Night of Debauchery”. Once you go back to the saloon, the bartender will tell you that you can find Calloway in Saint Denis. Theodore and Calloway will be on a large boat on the southeast side of Saint Denis.

In the next part, you will require to bring Grant from the west of the village in Annesburg. Grant will be tied to a tree guarded by outlaws who you have to kill. Bring grant to Calloway for the duel where Calloway will kill Grant and turns mad by wanting to fight you too. Kill Calloway and talk to Theodore Levin to complete the mission.

All That Glitters

This quest can be found southwest of Horseshoe Overlook Camp and is give by Máximo Cristóbal Valdespino. This quest will reward you with 2 Gold Bars worth $500 each upon completing this quest.

Máximo Cristóbal Valdespino sells you a treasure map for $10 if you bargain the price will be dropped to $5. To get to the treasure, you need to go to three locations shown on the map.
The first location is north of Horseshoe Overlook Camp, on the mountain called Caliban’s Sweat.

Head up the mountain to the top, where you will reach a small camp. Head right from the camp, and continue the narrow way along the cliffside. The treasure map will be in a small gap in the wall.
The second location will take you north to Cotorra Springs in the state of Ambarino. You will find rock-cairns in the area and the treasure is located on the largest of all the rocks.

The final treasure of this hunt is east from the previous location, in the Lake O’Creagh’s Run. The location of the treasure can be found on the South facing side of the island. This is where you will get your reward of 2 Gold Bars worth a total of $1,000.

The Smell of the Grease Paint

This quest can be found in Van Horn Trading Post, and it is given to you by Miss Marjorie.
In this quest, Arthur will encounter members of a traveling sideshow, Miss Marjorie and Bertram. Bertram starts fighting the bartender where you need to stop and give him a few hits.

Marjorie will ask you to locate her main attraction called Magnifico, who can be found southwest, sitting next to a campfire in the wilderness. He will be unhappy after you locate him and disappear in a cloud of smoke. Chase after Magnifico by following the cloud of smoke. He will lead you to many places until he will run back into the place where Miss Marjorie is. The mission ends with Marjorie thanking you.

For the reward, you can go inside the Théâtre Râleur in Saint Denis to watch their show – amongst others. This will give you a reward of $40 when you return out of the theatre.

Arcadia for Amateurs

This quest can be found southeast of Strawberry and is given to you by Albert Mason.
In the quest, you have to return a bag of photos that were stolen by a coyote from Albert Mason. Once you retrieve the bag and return to Albert.

In a second encounter, you will find Albert trying to capture wolves by placing a piece of meat as bait. Your job is to kill the 5 wolves when they come. Use your Dead Eye to deal with the wolves best.

The third time you meet Albert, he asks you to ride around some horses to bring them closer to him so he can take pictures. Simply ride around and gently lead them to his direction, where he can take his picture. He will thank you and give you a picture of wolves from your previous encounters.

The fourth time you get to see Albert, you have to help him get pictures of alligators from a boat. You have to row to three of the locations, and when all 3 pictures have been taken, this part of the quest will complete.

The fifth and last time to get to see Albert, you will find him on a cliff trying to take pictures of eagles. In the process of taking pictures from a closer angle, Albert falls down, and you have to rescue him by pulling him back up. This will end Albert Stranger Mission completely.

A Bright Bouncing Boy

This quest can be found in western Saint Denis and can be accessed only during day time. This quest is given by Marko Dragic.

This quest is started in Chapter 4 of the Story Mission, where a man named Marko Dragic wants to demonstrate his remote-controlled gear to investors. You are required to operate the rig and demonstrate this new technology. Your job is to sink 4 ships in 2 rounds while avoiding the mines spread around in the area.

In the first round, the ships are stationary, while in the second they small by moving. This part of the quest is completed after you finish the rounds.

The second time to get to meet Marko, he wants us to help him with an experiment that he is working on. You need to place 3 conductor rods at the locations marked on your map. Use the detector to locate in the pitch dark of the night.

Return to Marko who will ask you to climb the tower and power on some switches. The quest ends when after the electric flow in the machine.

The third and last time you meet Marko, go to the white gun symbol marked on your map, to check on the fate of Marko. The mission ends when you explore the area and pick up an electric lantern that is found on the ground.

The Mercies of Knowledge

This quest can be found in the northern part of Saint Denis, and is given to you by Professor Andrew Bell III.

This Stranger Mission is available in the early Chapter 4 of the Story Missions. A stranger named Professor Bell asks you to get him a lot of moonshines. Go to Rhodes Train Station and talk to Alden the Clerk, where he will tell you about a big moonshine delivery.

The train with the moonshine delivery will enter Saint Denis from the north, this is where you have to intercept it and bring it to the Professor. The professor will then ask you to get a victim that he can use on his electric chair. You have to go to the Police Station and get a permit from the chief to perform one of the executions.

The professor will then ask you to hunt the man to be executed called Wilson McDaniels. Wilson s located to the north around a camp with outlaws. Kill the outlaws and chase after him and lasso to grab him. Return Wilson to Professor Bill. Witness the execution that takes place near a graveyard in northern Saint Denis to complete this Stranger Mission.

The Artist’s Way

This quest can be found in the northern part of Saint Denis and is given to you by Charles Châtenay. You need t have completed a mission called “The Joys of Civilization” in Chapter 4 to access this Stranger Mission.

You can meet this stranger in a Saloon in northern Saint Denis. His name is Charles Châtenay who is a French painter. You find him again in an alley being threatened by a man; warn the man to let Charles go.

He will then invite you to his exhibition gallery where you have to fistfight to settles matters about the scandalous paintings. A few days later you will find Charles in a woman’s attire trying to get out of trouble by getting out of town. Your task here is to escort him safely to port, while on the way you will have to fistfight a few people. Once you are done, the mission is completed.

Idealism and Pragmatism

This quest can be found in the northwest part of Saint Denis and is given to you by Mayor Henry Lemieux. This Stranger Mission is accessible after you complete the Story Mission “The Gilded Cage” of Chapter 4, and have received a letter from Lemieux.

After meeting the Mayor having received his invitation, his first task for you is to change a Professor’s views and is located at the Art Gallery in town. Confront the Professor and change his mind whichever way you want.

The second invitation by Mayor follows up by another task where he needs you to raise funds for a library. This time you need to threaten a wealthy man to donate the money for the Library. Return after the successful confrontation with Lemieux.

The last task the Mayor wants from you is to take his assistant Jean-Marc out. Locate Jean-Marc and knock him out, then bring him to the Mayor’s Residence. Here you are given the choice to either spare or kill the assistant.

He’s British, Of Course

This quest can be found west of Bluewater Marsh and is given to you by Margaret. This quest is accessible after finishing Chapter 2 of Story Missions. The reward upon completion is a gem worth $250.

In this quest, Arthur will find a crashed caravan of circus members in the state of Lemoyne. A sad man dressed up as a woman called Margaret wants you to locate his animals for the circus. The animals are zebra, tiger, and lion. Head northwest to locate a mule with stripes painted on it to look like a Zebra. Capture the animal and lead it back to the Caravan.

Next up, you need to look for the lion who will turn out to be a dead Labrador with a mane. Place the dog in the cage which will attract the Tiger to come to you; the tiger will turn out to be a cougar with painted stripes on it. Close the cage door and drive the rest of the caravan.

Margaret will have more tasks for you; this time he wants you to get more animals since he is short of having lions. Go to the marked location to get the animal. You will find a real lion there instead of that you have to kill as it attacks you.

Head back to the caravan and talk to Margaret for the last time to demand your payment. This will end this Stranger Mission.

The Iniquities of History

This quest can be found in Rhodes and is given to you by Jeremiah Compson. This quest is accessible after finishing Chapter 2.

A stranger called Jeremiah can be found outside Rhodes Train Station where he will ask you to retrieve a few of his items from his house. The items are a watch and a ledger. The house is located in the north of the current location. Once you reach the location, the watch will be on the chimney in the first proper room. While you will find a trapdoor with squatters below that you have to kill. The ledger can be found at the end of the basement sitting on a crate to the right.

Arthur finds out that Jeremiah was involved in Slavery, this makes you return to Jeremiah nd confront him where he kneels on the ground, which also completes the mission. Alternatively, you can choose to kill Jeremiah and that will increase your honor.

No Good Deed

This quest can be found in Rhodes and is given to you by Dr. Alphonse Renaud. This quest is accessible after you have completed the mission “The course of True Love” of Chapter 3. The completion of this quest will reward you with a Special Health cure Pamphlet.

You will find a man called Dr. Alphonse who will ask you to retrieve his stolen wagon with medical supplies. The location of the wagon is northeast close to the river. The wagon will be guarded by 6 enemies that you have to kill. When you get on the wagon, more enemies will chase you on the way back to Rhodes. Return the wagon to Dr. Alphonse which will complete this Stranger Mission.

Oh, Brother

This quest can be found in Valentine, and is given to you by Proetus and Acrisius. This quest is accessible after completing the mission “The Gilded Cage” in Chapter 4.

You will find twins fighting over a woman called Helen n front of Valentine General Store. To show their bravery, they want you to shoot bottles from the top of their heads. After three rounds of shooting the bottles off of their heads, the twins will walk away with Helen.

The next time you need the twins and Helen again, they are trying to show their toughness to Helen, but this time with punches. You have to first punch them to the face, then in the stomach and then kick their testicles.

Your third encounter with the twins and Helen, you will find the twins on top of the Cumberland falls, where they want to travel down a waterfall in a barrel. Having survived the fall, the brothers give up Helen and walk away in the agreement of not doing anything more stupid to prove for Helen. This will complete the Stranger Mission involving the twins.

Fundraiser

This quest can be found in the northwest part of Saint Denis. An unknown woman gives you this task. This woman wants to collect donations for the expansion of Quincy Harris Memorial Hall. She asks for $20 which will in return give you Honor.

Alternatively, you can steal her donation box for a few dollars, but at the cost of negative Honor. This will complete this Stranger Mission.

Duchesses and Other Animals

This Stranger Mission is still being explored and will be added later.

The Ties That Bind Us

This quest can be found in southern Rhodes, and is given to you by Mr. Black and Mr. White of the Chain gang. This quest is accessible after you have completed the mission “The Joys of Civilization” in Chapter 4.

You will find two men fighting on a hill that is next to the train tracks in Rhodes. They want their Bounty Posters taken off from the town so that they can enter it. The first poster can be found in the Post Office. Three other posters are on the main road of Rhodes. The fifth poster has been picked by a bounty hunter that you have follow and beat him down to take it. Return with the posters back to the two men.

The next time you find the prison escapees, they will require some medicine from you. You can either give it to them if you have any extra, or buy it from the shop in the town.

The third and last time that you encounter the escapees, they will be in a tree house in the northern part of Big Valley, where they will be arguing. This will complete this Stranger Mission.
