Weak Point
Each animal, whether it’s hunted or does the hunting, has two vulnerable spots: one on their head and the other in their chest, where the heart is. The heart’s weak spot is in a small area that’s hard to hit. Your best chance is to target the shoulder blade near their front legs. Depending on the animal, this spot might be easier to spot or tougher to spot so you will need to look at the animal and determine the location of its heart.
How To Make Heart Shots in Nightingale
Heart shots are different from headshots. You can only get a heart shot using a weapon from far away, like a gun. But when you hit a heart shot, it hurts a lot more. If you want to make sure you deal the most damage with a heart shot, use a weapon that can do extra damage when it gets a critical hit like a Chassepot Rifle with the Forge Card turned on.
If you want to improve your chances of hitting an enemy’s weak spot in a game, try using the Assassin’s Sight Enchantment on your weapon. It makes weak points glow and boosts the damage you do when you hit them. You can buy the recipe for the Assassin’s Sight enchantment from the Desert Hunt Essence Trader. You cannot apply enchantments to ranged weapons therefore, you have to apply it to a melee weapon so keep this in mind.
