Xbox Games Showcase 2025 did not feature any major titles from Xbox Game Studios coming this year, and that is a bummer, but still it had some great names attached to it like Grounded 2, Cronos: The New Dawn, Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf and Gears of War: Reloaded. While Phil Spencer promised numerous AAA releases for 2026, the year Xbox celebrates its anniversary, this year, we will mostly be playing third-party releases on the Xbox. Even these are no longer Xbox exclusives, with nearly all games showcased during the event also coming to PS5, including the upcoming The Outer Worlds 2. To conclude the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, the Xbox Direct event took place, showcasing a deep dive into Grounded 2 and The Outer Worlds 2. Below, we have listed all trailers, announcements, and everything else featured at the event, so let’s jump straight into them.
The Outer Worlds 2
The show kicked off with an Official Story Trailer for the upcoming The Outer Worlds 2, a sequel to the critically acclaimed The Outer Worlds by Obsidian Entertainment. It is slated for release on October 29, 2025, on PC via Steam and Battle.net and consoles including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, and PS5.
High On Life 2
Another sequel to an amazing shooter, High On Life 2, developed by Squanch Games, Inc., followed next with an official World Premiere Trailer. In High On Life 2, you will once again team up with a wide cast of talking alien guns as you shoot, stab, and skate your way through exotic locations to take down bad guys. High On Life is slated for release this winter on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, and PC via Steam.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
Developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an original story that serves as a prequel to the award-winning series A Plague Tale. In this brand-new title, you will travel to Minotaur’s Island as Sophia, outsmart deadly enemies, solve puzzles, and confront a mythical creature at the heart of a curse. It is slated for release in 2026 on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud.
ROG Xbox Ally X + ROG Xbox Ally
Xbox also officially unveiled its upcoming handheld console, which is being developed alongside Razor. The ROG Xbox Ally is a special version of the ROG Ally, which is based on Xbox. It comes in two versions: ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally. The ROG Xbox Ally X is the more powerful version out of the two, as it comes with the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, along with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage space. The cheaper version is called ROG Xbox Ally, and it downgrades the processor to the AMD Ryzen Z2 A, along with 16 GB of memory and 512 GB of storage space. Both versions are slated for release this Holiday season.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
Developed by Rebel Wolves and published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe. You step into the shoes of Coen, human by day and vampire by night, as you fight to save your family in a choice-based narrative. It is slated for release in 2026 on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud.
Super Meat Boy 3D
Developed by Sluggerfly and Team Meat and published by Headup, Super Meat Boy returns in full 3D, bringing the infamous, tough-as-nails platformer to the third dimension for the first time. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud.
Ninja Gaiden 4
Developed by PlatinumGames Inc., and Team Ninja and published by Xbox Game Studios, NINJA GAIDEN 4 is the definitive ninja action-adventure game. You will find yourself on an intense adventure where legacy meets innovation. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud on October 20, 2025.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – The Order of Giants
Developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, The Order of Giants is a brand-new and first DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The DLC follows Indiana Jones into the ancient streets of Rome, where you will explore twisting forgotten catacombs and find something a little bit more sinister. It is slated for release on September 4, 2025, on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, and PS5.
Beast of Reincarnation
Developed by GAME FREAK and published by Fictions, Beast of Reincarnation is a brand-new, expansive, one-person, one-dog action RPG featuring demanding, technical combat. Set in a post-apocalyptic Japan, the game throws you into the shoes of Emma and her loyal companion who must do everything they can to save humanity. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, and PS5 in 2026.
Clockwork Revolution
Developed by InXile Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios, Clock Revolution is a grand adventure set in the steampunk metropolis of Avalon. You wield an incredible invention that allows you to travel into the past and influence key events, allowing you to alter the course of history. It is slated for a release PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud, Xbox PC, and PS5.

Developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios, Grounded 2 is a sequel to the original Grounded 2 and offers a brand-new open world for you to explore solo or in co-op. In this survival adventure, you will craft weapons and armor, build your base, and traverse a playground filled with hostile bugs. It is slated for release on July 29, 2025, on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud in Game Preview.
Cronos – The New Dawn
Developed by Bloober Team and published by Bloober Team SA, Cronos: The New Dawn is a brand-new, pulse-pounding, third-person survival horror game in which time is your deadliest weapon and your worst enemy. In the game, you will survive a brutal future, dive back in time, and stop nightmarish creatures from merging into unstoppable abominations. It is slated for release in Fall 2025 on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud, and Xbox PC.
The Elder Scrolls Online – Seasons of the Worm Cult
Developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, The Elder Scrolls Online is an online fantasy RPG set in the Elder Scrolls world, and it has been in action since April 2014. It is getting a brand-new update called Seasons of the Worm Cult in the ongoing Tales of Tamriel. It arrives June 18, 2025, across all platforms, including PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud.
Aphelion
Developed by DON’T NOD, Aphelion is an action-packed sci-fi adventure that blends exploration, traversal, and tense stealth gameplay. Set on a frozen planet, you will play as astronaut Ariane, who must brave rugged landscapes and shifting realities to rescue her wounded partner, Thomas. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, and Xbox Series X|S.
There Are No Ghosts at the Grand
Developed by Friday Sundae, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand is a supernatural title where you inherit a crumbling English hotel. During the day, you will restore it, and during the night, you will battle ghosts to defend it. Accompanying your adventure is a sardonic cat, a talking power tool, and a twisting plot. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud.
Age of Mythology: Retold – Heavenly Spear
Developed by World’s Edge, Forgotten Empires, Tantalus Media, CaptureAge, Virtous Games, and published by Xbox Game Studios, Age of Mythology: Retold is a remake of the original iconic RTS set in the mythical age where gods, monsters, and humans collide. Heavenly Spear is a brand-new expansion for the title, which brings an all-new Japanese pantheon to the game, bringing with it 12 new gods, each with unique god powers, divine technologies, and myth units. It also brings a brand-new 12-mission campaign. It is releasing on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, PS5, and PC via Steam this Fall.
Mudang: Two Hearts
Developed by EVR Studios, MUDANG: Two Hearts is a brand-new stealth action game set in modern-day South Korea. Set in the not-too-distant future, you will experience a story of a North Korean soldier who stumbles upon a K-Pop star who holds the secret to unraveling the mystery behind the terrorist group attacking the South Korean National Assembly. It is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Xbox Cloud, and Xbox PC in 2026.
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf
Developed by Wishfully and published by Thunderful Publishing, Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is a sequel to the original title, Planet of Lana. It picks up the story right from the ending of the first game and follows Lana and Mui to uncover the planet’s mysterious past. You will explore beautiful new places, solve puzzles, and unravel a deeper, longer story in this cinematic puzzle adventure. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, and Xbox One.
Fallout 76 – Gone Fission
Fallout 76 is the multiplayer Fallout title released after Fallout 4, and since its release back in 2020, it has continued to expand further with new expansions and DLC. Its latest expansion, Gone Fission, is now live across all platforms, including PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud, and Xbox PC. The latest DLC is all about fishing as you unlock your first fishing rod and combine different types of baits and mods to the rod to lure in over thirty different types of fish.
Solo Leveling: Arise OVERDRIVE
Developed by Netmarble Neo, Solo Leveling: Arise OVERDRIVE is an ultimate action RPG based on the hit webtoon, and it is coming to Xbox with new mechanics and 4-player real-time co-op. It is slated for release on PC via Steam in 2025, while the OVERDRIVE will release on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud in 2026.
Aniimo
Developed by Parprint Studio, Aniimo is a brand-new free-to-play, next-gen creature-catching open-world ARPG in which you play as a Pathfinder. Your mission begins in Idyll, a dynamic, open-world in which you must collect, evolve, and twine with magical creatures called Aniimo. It is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC in 2025.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4
Developed by Iron Galaxy Studios and published by Activision, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 brings the two iconic titles in the franchise back, but even better. It is revamped with more skaters, new parks, gnarlier tricks, eardrum-shattering music, and plenty more. It is slated for release on July 10, 2025, on PC via Steam, Battle.net, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.
At Fate’s End
Developed by Thunder Lotus, At Fate’s End is an action-adventure game in which you must fight the ones you love, and your skill tree is your family tree. As you explore a lush fantasy world, you will defeat foul creatures and face your estranged siblings in intense, emotional duels. It is slated for release in 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, and PC via Steam.
Gears of War: Reloaded
Developed by The Coalition, Gears of War: Reloaded is bringing back the iconic title back to life across the platforms, faithfully remastered and optimized for PC. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud on August 26, 2025.
Persona 4 Revival
Developed by Atlus, Persona 4 Revival is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud soon. We only got to see a small teaser that only confirms its Xbox release and nothing else.
Sea of Thieves Season 17 – Smuggler’s Tide
Developed by Rare Ltd, Sea of Thieves is about to receive its Season 17 update called Smuggler’s Tide. The Smuggler’s League is hiring, and if you think you can handle it, you can join them. You will embark on challenges called Smuggler’s Voyages, where you will salvage or steal these hot properties and deliver them safely into the wrong hands. Smuggler’s Tide will arrive in August 2025, for all players for free across PC via Steam, Battle.net, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud, and PS5.
Invincible VS
Developed by Quarter Up and published by Skybound Games, Invincible VS is a brutal superhero 3v3 tag fighting game set in the Invincible universe. In it, you will battle to the death as a team of your favorite characters in iconic locations from the series. Keeper
Developed by Double Fine Productions, Keeper is a story told without words in which a long-forgotten lighthouse is awakened and joined by a spirited seabird. The lighthouse travels through a heartening tale of unlikely companionship through realms beyond understanding. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and Xbox Cloud on October 17, 2025.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the next game in the iconic Call of Duty: Black Ops series. It comes as a surprise because the release of Black Ops 6 is not even a year old at this point. However, we only got to see a cinematic trailer at this point. The game is set in 2035, where David Mason is leading the Black Ops team against a manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear above all else. It is not confirmed at this point, but we can expect it to launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud, Xbox PC, Steam, and PS5 sometime in 2026.
