Probably the most prominent tech demo was seeing The Witcher 4 in action, along with many updates and features coming to Unreal Engine, Fortnite Editor, and much more. Unreal Engine 5.6 Features Highlights + Deep Dive

Next up, we got a detailed look into the new features of Unreal Engine 5.6, which are now available to everyone, and some of them are being used in the development of The Witcher 4. These features include Nanite Foliage, Chaos Physics, and Unreal Animation Framework. Check them out:

We got to see an exclusive clip from the upcoming Predator: Killer of Killers as the director showcased how they used Unreal Engine in its development.

Epic Games Store Spotlight + Revenue Share Update

Next up, Epic Games Store got its own little spotlight where the store announced its new Revenue Share policy, encouraging developers to bring their old releases to the store in exchange for 100% of revenue. Along with this, many other features like Download Manager 2.0, pre-loading, gifting, mobile app, and more were also showcased. Check them out:

Fortnite Editor + Unreal Engine Spotlight

Epic Games also showcased some amazing examples that players are creating using the Unreal Engine in Fortnite Editor. Jank Games dropped by as well to give us some details of how they used the platform and built their custom title using UEFN. Scene Graph is a brand-new addition to UEFN that will allow creators to rapidly create scenes by enabling copying assets quickly, adjusting lights, and more. Epic Developer Assistant Spotlight

Epic Games also showcased an example of how the Epic Developer Assistant can help developers in different tasks by quickly generating code by simply giving it a simple text command. Apart from generating the code, it will also explain how you can implement the code. Check it out in action:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles + The Walking Dead Islands in Fortnite + New Partners for Fortnite Islands + LEGO Brick Editor

LEGO Brick Editor is dropping in LEGO Fortnite, which will allow players to develop custom bricks. Squid Games, Avatar: The Last Airbender are the latest partners to join Fortnite, which will allow creators to create brand-new islands and games in Fortnite using assets from these two amazing franchises.

Disney x Unreal Engine + Star Wars Addition to UEFN

Disney took to the stage to show how it is using Unreal Engine to create amazing experiences like Fortnite partnerships, including Marvel, Star Wars, and more. Currently, Galactic Battle is live in Fortnite. The world’s first AI character, Darth Vader, is live in Fortnite, which will allow players to interact with it and play alongside it while listening to interesting dialogue. Star Wars is also coming to Fortnite Editor.

Epic Games showed us a demo of how you can create a brand-new AI character using the Fortnite Creator and then jumped into Fortnite to show us the character in full action:
