Sunset Overdrive is Coming to Microsoft Windows – Announced Officially by Insomniac Games

Overdrive

Sunset Overdrive was released on October 28, 2014, exclusively on the Xbox One console. The game received a positive response from the Xbox One community. The open-world game was developed by Inosmniac Games. Sunset Overdrive is finally releasing on Microsoft Windows.

This was confirmed officially by Insomniac Games on Twitter. The tweet was followed by an announcement trailer of Sunset Overdrive, which is releasing on PC.

Sunset Overdrive is an open-world playground with creepy mutants running around with bad smells and ogre-shaped bellies. You get to Vault, grind & wall-run the environment and kill all the mutants in style with a weird and unconventional arsenal in the game.

Sunset Overdrive can be played entirely in single-player mode, or you can team up with a friend and cause mutant massacres in style. It is entirely up to you. Regardless of what game mode you choose, the game delivers an adventure you will never forget.

There has been no word on its sequel for a long time. Developer Insomniac Games, after the success of Sunset Overdrive, started work on Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Insomniac, after the huge success of Marvel’s Spider-Man, has remained silent on their next project. However, CEO Ted Price has hinted at an upcoming possible sequel as the next project for Insomniac.

The game was praised a lot back when it was released exclusively on the Xbox One platform in 2014. However, till now, Insomniac has been mum on any subject that may hint at a possible sequel of the game. Ted Price said:

When you establish an IP, you now know what the tone is, you know what the character is, you know what the core mechanics are that work. You know what players liked and didn’t like, so doing a sequel for any game, be it Sunset Overdrive or something else, is an opportunity to deliver something to fans that’s significantly better than the original, and that’s something that I think we at Insomniac would love to do someday

The developers at Insomniac have listened to Sunset Overdrive fans for years. We could potentially see a teaser in E3 2019 or maybe gameplay.
