Italian indie developer Caracal Games and publisher Dear Villagers have released a demo for their upcoming sci-fi open-world action-adventure game, Star Overdrive, now available on Nintendo Switch. The demo offers you a chance to experience the game’s opening hour, featuring hoverboard navigation, puzzles, and combat within the tutorial zone of a vast alien world.
Star Overdrive invites you to explore a mysterious universe filled with diverse environments and challenging encounters. Those eager to dive into the full experience can pre-purchase the game now to unlock exclusive pre-order content at launch. The standard edition is priced at $34.99, while the Deluxe Edition—offering additional hoverboard customization options, the game’s original soundtrack, and a digital manga prequel—will be available for $39.99. Pre-ordering also grants a 10% discount on both versions.

Star Overdrive puts a strong emphasis on hoverboard navigation, allowing you to traverse expansive landscapes, perform stunts, and integrate hoverboard maneuvers into combat. The alien world of Star Overdrive consists of four distinct biomes, each offering its own set of challenges and secrets to discover.
