CI Games has secured €28.6 million in syndicated financing to complete development, fund the global marketing campaign, and launch Lords of the Fallen II in the first quarter of 2027. The agreement also allows the company to refinance all its existing bank debt without issuing new shares.
The credit facility was arranged by Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska, with 80% of the financing covered by a guarantee from KUKE, Poland’s export credit agency. According to CI Games, the funding fully covers its financial requirements for bringing the sequel to market.
The facility matures in August 2027 and is expected to be repaid primarily through sales of Lords of the Fallen II following its release. CI Games President and largest shareholder Marek Tyminski has also committed to retaining his entire shareholding for the duration of the financing agreement.
Tyminski said the arrangement secures the funding required for the game’s launch without diluting existing shareholders through a new share issue. He also described the banks’ participation as a sign of confidence in the project’s quality and commercial potential.
The company plans to reveal that date in December 2026, when the game’s main marketing campaign will also begin. Before then, CI Games is preparing another episode of its “Lifting the Veil” series, scheduled for early next week. The upcoming episode will feature members of the game’s Launch Creative Team, which the company describes as a group of experienced developers recruited directly from the soulslike community.
With its launch financing now secured, CI Games says it can focus on completing production and preparing the global promotional campaign ahead of the sequel’s planned 2027 release.
Lords of the Fallen II follows the 2023 action RPG, which sold more than 2.5 million copies and reached over 8 million players across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. CI Games is targeting the first quarter of 2027 for the sequel, though it has not yet announced an exact release date. Lords of the Fallen II is slated for release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store along with Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
