Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Tyranitar Guide – How to Get Tyranitarite

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Tyranitar Guide

With incredible stats and strong moves, Tyranitar is considered to be one of the toughest and most powerful Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. You can also get its Mega Form. Just like other Pokemon, it also requires a Mega Stone named Tyranitarite to evolve. The good thing is that you can’t miss this item while playing through the main story.  Our Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Tyranitar Guide details how we can get the Mega Stone to evolve Tyranitar, along with the stats of Mega Tyranitar.

Mega Tyranitar Guide – Pokemon Legends: Z-A

You can get Tyranitarite in the Main Mission 33: A Rogue Mega Tyranitar. This mission becomes available after finishing Main Mission 31: A Summons from Vinnie, the first main quest you complete after reaching Rank B in Z-A Royale. In this Main Mission 37, you need to defeat the Rogue Mega Tyranitar.

After completing Mission 31, the locations of three Rogue Mega Pokemon will appear on your map. Simply follow the locations on the map that point to Rogue Mega Tyranitar to begin the battle.

Strategy to Beat Rogue Mega Tyranitar

Rogue Mega Tyranitar is very weak against the Fighting-type Pokemon. It takes 4x damage from Fighting moves. So, use a Fighting-type Pokemon to win this battle easily. Heracross, Chesnaught, Falinks, Scrafty, and Pangoro are all good picks for this battle.

However, the best choice is Lucario. Lucario stands out because it can use Special Fighting-type attacks like Aura Sphere and Focus Blast. These moves deal heavy damage and also bypass Tyranitar’s massive Defense stat of 150, which makes them much more effective. Additionally, Lucario’s Steel-typing and its moves like Flash Cannon are also super effective against Tyranitar.
