We know most of the Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A can be found in Wild Zones. Skrelp can also be found there, but there is one problem. It can not be found in Wild Zones until the main mission/story is completed. Skrelp can be easily caught when you know where to go. Our Pokemon Legends: Z-A Skrelp Guide details where we can find Skrelp, how to evolve into Dragalge, and how to get its Mega Evolution item, Dragalgite, to evolve into Mega Dragalge.
Skrelp Guide – Pokemon Legends: Z-A
You can find and catch Skrelp inside the Lumiose Sewers, which first become unlocked during Main Mission 19: Reaching Rank D. In this mission, you will need to find Gwynn in the sewers, who is Ivor’s sister and a member of the Fist of Justice.
After finishing Mission 19, you can return to the Lumiose Sewers in two different ways:
Through Side Mission 57: The Camerupt Entrepreneur
Go to the spot in Blue Sector 3, and you will see a trainer with an Audino Pokemon. Right next to them, there is a staircase leading you to Herup, the person who gives you this side mission.
After talking to Herup, your Side Mission 57 will start. He will step aside, and behind him will be the entrance to the Lumiose Sewers. This will permanently open the entrance of the Sewers. And your chance to catch Skrelp.
Through Main Mission 20: A Request from the Rust Syndicate
In this mission, Corbeau from the Rust Syndicate asks you to remove Mega Shard outgrowths inside a smaller part of the Lumiose Sewers located near the Saison Canal in the Magenta District.
Although this area is separate from the main sewers that you unlocked in Side Mission 57, it is actually the best place to hunt a shiny Skrelp.
Evolve into Dragalge
Skrelp evolves into Dragalge when it reaches level 48.
- The Skrelp that we get in the main Lumiose Sewers are around level 34–35.
- The Skrelp that we get in the Saison Canal section are around level 39.
You can use EXP Candies, Rare Candies, or battle normally to help it reach level 48 faster. If you have completed the game and are in the post-game, you can get the fully evolved Dragalge swimming in Wild Zone 20. Must have finished the Main Mission 37.
Evolve Dragalge into Mega Dragalge
Like others, Dragalge can also be evolved into Mega Dragalge, and requires a Mega Stone named Dragalgite. You can get it from the Quasartico Mega Shard Exchange for 240 Mega Shards, but only after completing Main Mission 31: A Summons from Vinnie.
Once you get Dragalgite, simply give it to your Dragalge to hold. In battle, Dragalge will Mega Evolve into Mega Dragalge when your Mega Meter is full.
Mega Dragalge is known for its excellent defenses, strong Special Attack, and strong typing, making it a fantastic choice for your main party.
