AG French Direct 2025 Recap - All Trailers, Announcements, and Updates

AG French Direct 2025 just concluded, and we got to see some great French games during the showcase. Organized by ActuGaming, AG French Direct is the premiere show for French titles as we got to see some cool games coming from French developers. It featured over 40 titles ranging from indie games to AAA titles. Below, you will find the recap including all trailers showcased at the event. So, let’s jump straight into it.

Fallen Fates

Developed by Hiberian Workshop, Fallen is a vast 2D pixel-art fantasy game where you will face relentless battles and forge your own destiny with different companions while trying to uncover the secrets behind falling crystals. It is slated for a PC Steam release, and Kickstarter will be announced soon.

Cosmic Holidays

Developed by I AM A DOG Studio, Cosmic Holidays is a space adventure game where you play as Cibo, a vacation winner who ends up on the wrong side of the galaxy. After a crash on an unknown planet, you must help Cibo reach his vacation resort by traversing a planet filled with rich flora and fauna. You will use Cibo’s abilities to glide, bounce, propel himself, get stuck, absorb shocks, and roll by inflating his head, and navigate the scenery. It is slated for a 2026 release on PC via Steam and consoles.

Death Tower

Developed by Headbang Club, Death Tower is an overclocked roguelite tactical RPG in which you must survive each floor of the megastructure. You will use stealth, hacking, and devastating weapons to fight your way to the top. Death Tower is slated for release on PC via Steam, PS5, and Nintendo Switch later.

Endless Legend II – Necrophage Faction Spotlight

Developed by AMPLITUDE Studios and published by Hooded Horse, Endless Legend 2 is a strategy game set on an ever-evolving world. There are different asymmetric factions in the game led by powerful heroes, and the newest trailer showcased a brand-new faction, Necrophage. You will need to build your empire, wield political influence, and raise grand armies to wage war to uncover dark secrets. It is slated for a PC Steam release soon.

Paper Sky

Developed by BRUTE FORCE, in this gorgeous game, you will fold, deliver, and glide your message in a semi-open world. The developer showcased its official gameplay trailer during the event. It is slated for a PC Steam release along with Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

CAIRN

Developed by The Game Bakers, CAIRN is a survival-climbing game in which you must reach a summit by any means necessary. The game gives you the freedom to climb anywhere, and you must plan your way carefully while managing pitons and resources to survive the unforgiving Mount Kami. The developer showed the gameplay himself during the showcase. It is slated for a release on PC via Steam and PS5 in 2025. A free Steam demo is currently available.

City Tales – Medieval Era

Developed by Irregular Shapes and published by Firesquid, City Tales – Medieval Era is a medieval city builder. The game allows you to unleash your creativity and shape vast cities that break outside a traditional grid. It is now available on PC via Steam in Early Access, and for a limited time, you can purchase it with a 10% discount.

ChaseTag

Developed and published by Team Gloupi and Zero Games Studios, ChaseTag is a tag competition where the athletes are literal candy. You will engage with your friends in intense Player-versus-Player matches across colorful locations. It is slated for PC Steam, and Nintendo Switch release in 2026.

The Funskin Project

Developed by Studio Richoux, The Funskin Project is a survival horror game set in a strange and timeless universe. You will explore a haunted world, solve puzzles, and fight for your survival as you try to escape this nightmare. It is slated for a PC Steam release in 2026.

Tears of Metal

Developed by Paper Cult, Tears of Metal is a medieval hack-and-slash co-op roguelike in which you must carve your way through hordes of enemies to reclaim your island with the help of your Scottish battalion. Progression will allow you to dig deeper into the secrets of the Dragon Meteor and the invading forces. It is slated for a PC Steam release in 2025, and the developers will hold an Open Beta for the title soon.

MIO – Memories in Orbit

Developed by Douze Dixiemes and published by Focus Entertainment, MIO: Memories in Orbit is a mesmerizing metroidvania in which you must explore the Vessel. It is an enormous technological ark overgrown with machines gone rogue. You must uncover its secrets, enhance MIO’s abilities, and save the ship and its residents from oblivion. It is slated for a PC Steam release in 2025.

Tenjutsu

Developed by Deepnight Games and published by Devolver Digital, Tenjutsu is a rogue-jitsu created by Sebastian Benard, the designer of Dead Cells. You will step into the shoes of a renegade yakuze hellbent on defying her former associates and loosening their grip on the Secret Garden City. It is slated for a PC Steam, and console release soon.

The Lonesome Guild

Developed by Tiny Bull Games and published by DON’T NOD, The Lonesome Guild is a single-player ARPG set in a world consumed by loneliness, and only friendship can save the day. In this game, you must lead a quirky cast of characters and lead them in battles and create bonds that change everything. It is slated for release on PC via Steam and consoles soon, and a demo for the game is currently live.

Deadcore REDUX

Developed by 5 Bits Games, Deadcore Redux is a remaster of the 2014 Platformer-FPS Deadcore. It features improved graphics/audio UI along with gamepad support and a new Story level not present in the original release. In Deadcore Redux, you will embark on a futuristic journey as you try to climb a huge Tower born from the void. It is slated for a PC Steam release in Q3 2025, and a free demo is currently live, which gives you a small taste of the full game.

Lava Loop

Developed by Louis Rigaud, Lava Loop is an explosive musical show game set in a hand-drawn futuristic universe. The game combines rhythm with shoot’em up mechanics as you take on the role of three punk musicians trying to confront a mad queen and her planet-killing machine. It is slated for a PC Steam release soon.

Jump the Track

Developed by Seed by Seed, Jump the Track is an absurd comedy title in which you must fight your inner battles, rally your forces, and overthrow the system. You play as Sam, a young dreamer who is struggling in the gig economy, but good things may be on the horizon for him. Jump the Track is now available on PC via Steam, and you can purchase it for a discounted price for a limited time.

Sheepherds!

Developed by Ultimate Disco, Sheepherds! is a wool-collecting game where you must guide your flock and shear them to riches. Offering up to 4 player co-op, Sheepherds! is slated for a PC Steam release with a demo currently live for you to test it out.

Crown Gambit

Developed by WILD WITS and published by Playdigious Originals, Crown Gambit is a tactical card battler in which you play as three intrepid paladins who are travelling through a terrible war of succession to save a medieval kingdom from political turmoil. It is slated for a PC Steam release on June 18, 2025, and a free demo is currently available for you to try out.

Otherskin

Developed by Game Atelier and published by FDG Entertainment, Otherskin is a third-person shooter in which you must survive the alien world of Vandermire. It is slated for release on PC Steam, and consoles in 2025 with a free Steam demo currently live, giving you a small taste of the game.

Elmin

Developed by Dejima, Elmin is a serene first-person platformer where you must bring winds back to a forgotten archipelago of islands. As you fly between islands, you will explore a vibrant open world on the back of a mysterious bird while unlocking wind routes and parkouring across the interconnected remains of an ancient world. It is slated for a PC Steam release soon.

Fish Stick Protocol

Developed by Maracas Studio, Fish Stick Protocol is a survival extraction game in which you must suit up with up to eight other players and face the hazards of a procedurally generated world. You will collect valuable loot to customize your employer’s gallery and try your best to return alive because if something happens to you, someone else will take the next shift. Fish Stick Protocol is coming to PC via Steam in 2025.

Poem Ex Machina

Developed by Amaury Hyde, Poem Ex Machina is an anime-style, ride X fight, fast-paced game in which you are caught between a clan war and a supernatural invasion. You must use everything at your disposal in order to maintain a normal life. The game combines a badass mix of combat and ride gameplay, which will see you wiping out threats while riding rails at the same time. It is launching on PC via Steam in 2026.

Guilty As Sock!

Developed by Demon Max, Guilty As Sock! is a chaotic co-op courtroom game in which socks play everything ranging from lawyers, prosecutors, and judges. You will need to use absurd evidence, wild arguments, and deliver verdicts in a hilarious online setting. Guilty As Sock! is releasing today on PC via Steam.

Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets

Developed by Christophe Galati and Deneos, and published by Deneos, Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets is a classic RPG featuring a colorful world, which serves as a love letter to the Game Boy Advance era. In this game, you will gather six heroes and their Octopus companions and work to save a world where wild animals are disappearing, the mysterious Temple of the Order is on the rise, and shadow voids are suddenly appearing everywhere. It is slated for a PC Steam release in 2026, and a free demo is currently available for you to try it out.

Bonaparte – A Mechanized Revolution

Developed by Studio Imugi and published by 2P Games, Bonaparte – A Mechanized Revolution is an ideology-driven, turn-based strategy game in which you must defend, reform, or oppose the monarchy and write your own alternate history by combining political skills with military might. It is now available on PC via Steam in its Early Access.

Species Unknown

Developed by WanadevStudio, Species Unknown is a 1-4 player co-op survival horror shooter in which you must complete high-risk missions aboard an abandoned ship while being hunted by an unknown creature. You will need to survive by upgrading your gear and face the threats hiding in the dark as you explore dark areas and complete missions. Species Unknown is slated for a PC Steam release in 2025, and a Closed Playtest is coming soon, for which you can register right now.

Pardon My French Toast

Developed by ReRolled Studio, Pardon My French Toast is a 3D platformer featuring a toast that can spread sweets on its face and get unique abilities to move around a beautiful 3D world. You will find a variety of sweets and use them to unlock new abilities, which will allow you to solve puzzles and move ahead in the game. Pardon My French Toast is slated for a release on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch in Fall 2025. A free demo for the game is now available on Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Rogue Factor and published by Nacon, Hell is Us is an adventure game featuring exploration, investigation, combat, and puzzles. Set in an isolated country ravaged by infighting, you must discover your past and uncover the secrets of a mysterious calamity. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 4, 2025.

Lifelong

Developed by Red Rabbit, Lifelong is a first-person adventure game about the bureaucratic empire and the meaninglessness of certain jobs. You step into the shoes of Marcel Damlich, who works at Scopefost, a complex and labyrinthine company, and solve puzzles while exploring different aspects of the company. It is coming out on PC via Steam soon, but you can download and try its free demo right now.

How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine

Developed by Breakfast Games, How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine is a puzzle game in which cooperation is key. You will solve puzzles that will prevent a full-scale war as you and another player work on two separate devices to ensure that everything goes according to plan. How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine is launching on PC via Steam on June 24, 2025, and you can download and play its free demo right now.

A Better World

Developed by Ludogram and published by ARTE France, A Better World is an interactive adventure game in which you work for the A Better World company. As the company’s newest recruiter, you must alter the past and reshape the future by making game-changing choices. It is slated for a PC Steam release in 2025.

Lost in Prayer

Developed and published by Nine Dots, Lost in Prayer is a tactical roguelike in which you must solve intricate challenges to escape purgatory through hell or heaven. Every time you die, you will unlock a new creature with a unique skill set and multiple playstyles to master. The real challenge is to survive in the game, but the rewards only come when you die. Lost in Prayer is slated for a PC Steam release on July 15, 2025. A free demo for the game is now live.

Sydless

Developed by Opia Games, Sydless is a fast-paced first-person shooter in which your only weapon is a bouncing ball. You play as Diego, a 90s fast-food worker, who is trapped in an anomaly, and each door drags you deeper into warped versions of the restaurant. Your only tool for survival is your ball, and the more you slap this ball, the faster it gets, resulting in it becoming a high-speed projectile of death. Sydless is slated for release in 2026 on PC via Steam.

Barda

Developed by Mudita Games, Barda is a ‘solarpunk roguelike backpack survival’ game set in a post-apocalyptic world in the throes of reconstruction. You play as a young adventurer who is on a journey to lay his grandfather’s ashes atop a hostile, ever-changing mountain. It is a die and retry game, and it is slated for Early Access this October on PC via Steam and will later release on Switch and Switch 2 as well.

A free demo is currently available on Steam.

Dead in Antares

Developed by Ishtar Games and published by Nacon, Dead in Antares is a turn-based survival management game with RPG elements. Set on an alien planet, you must lead a crew of survivors sent on a mission to save humanity as you manage their needs, strengthen their bonds, and explore a mysterious world to find a way back home. Dead in Antares is slated for a Steam PC release in 2025.

Quantic River

Developed by FluidFury Interactive, Quantic River is a cyberpunk game that features all the right elements of the genre, including katana combat, slicing and dicing, cybernetic augmentations, and hacking. Set in a dystopian world, you will master katana combat, unlock cybernetics, slice through environments, and hack obstacles as you explore dual-layered levels designed for speedrunners and explorers. It is slated for release on PC via Steam, and the developer will release a Kickstarter campaign for the title soon.

Fireside Feelings

Developed by Team Empreintes and published by The CoLab, Fireside Feelings is a game about sharing emotions and listening to the feelings of other people. You embody a cute character while creating your coziest safe place, and gather around a campfire to be a part of a collective story. It is coming soon on PC via Steam.

YTASH: A Nocturnal Poem

Developed by SunnySide Games, YTASH: A Nocturnal Poem is a metroidvania set in the world called Nocturnal. You step into the shoes of Ardeshir, a master of the Enduring Flame, determined to explore and awaken the city of Ytash and its dormant mechanisms. When the night falls, the whole city becomes filled with creatures who are hellbent on extinguishing all living flames. YTASH: A Nocturnal Poem is slated for release on PC via Steam in 2025.

Follow My Steps

Developed by Midnight Games EIRL, Follow My Steps is a unique survival game where you must lead and protect a mother wolf and her pup seeking new shelter. You will use your magic powers to explore a beautiful, open world and make the right choices to educate your cub along the way. You will need to survive together and escape from the midnight pack. It is slated for a PC Steam, and console release in Fall 2025.

Hellslave 2: Judgement of the Archon

The show ended with a surprise teaser trailer for Hellslave 2: Judgement of the Archon. Developed by Ars Goetia, and published by Dear Villagers, Hellslave 2: Judgement of the Archon is a dark fantasy dungeon-crawler RPG in which the Archon descends to end the demon war once and for all. The sequel promises more immersive, brutal, and customizable gameplay than ever. It is slated for a PC Steam release in 2026.
