Developer Focus Interactive, alongside publisher Saber Interactive, have announced the launch of the latest update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which brings the terrifying new Trygon boss to the game. The new update is the ninth free PvE operation added to the game, and it brings a new boss for you to test your mettle against. The new update is now live for all players across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC across all digital stores.

Apart from the new boss and operation, the update also brings with it a new weapon, two cosmetic DLCs, and a ton of quality-of-life improvements, along with additional things. To play the new PvE Operation, you are getting a brand-new Inferno Pistol, which will help you take down the towering new boss Trygon. The new Exfiltration PvE mission is set on the planet Avarax, where you will come across the Trygon, a boss that is known for its ability to burrow below the defense lines and ambush enemies by harassing them.
The update brings Prestige Ranks and Prestige Rewards along with a rework of many weapon perks, the ability to change the color of cloth, tabards, and hoods across all classes. The most-requested Custom PvP lobbies are also part of the update, which will allow you to match in groups of up to 12 players for fully customizable Eternal War games. Apart from these free additions to the game, players will find two brand-new paid DLCs as well. The Space Wolves and Imperial Fists are also joining the fight against the Tyranids.
Season Pass owners will find both of the packs in their library already. The Space Wolves Chapter Pack adds a new Champion skin for the Vanguard, three weapon skins (Chainsword, Bolt Carbine, and Thunder Hammer), along with 50 unique cosmetics and colors to honor Chapter 12’s Great Companies. On the other hand, the Imperial Fists Champion Pack brings its own unique Champion skin for the Tactical class, along with a unique Plasma Incinerator skin celebrating the Sons of Dorn.
