Developer Bulwark Studios and publisher Kasedo Games have released the first official Gameplay Trailer for their upcoming title, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II. Showcased during the recent Warhammer Skulls Showcase 2025, the new trailer featured gameplay on a massive scale along with our very first look at the Leagues of Voltann, a faction which is making its way into the Warhammer video game universe for the very first time. Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II is a turn-based tactical game that will serve as a direct sequel to the original Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus.
The latest trailer gave us a glimpse at what we can expect to see in Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II when it comes out. Featuring a planetary conflict between the Adeptus Mechanicus and the ancient Necron Dynasty, we got to see gripping tactical skirmishes across visually diverse and richly detailed battlefields. Each level will offer a large number of opportunities for strategic domination. Check out the latest trailer:
While the trailer does not offer too much detail, we get a pretty good glimpse at what the game will have on offer at its release. Mechanicus II will take you from the forbidding and labyrinthine underworld of Necron tombs to the highly industrial, techno-religious forge cities of the Adeptus Mechanicus. These environments will serve as the center stage for tactical, turn-based battles between multiple factions. The game will offer two unique, playable factions. If you played the first game, you will find some familiar faces in the game trailer as well, like the trusty advisors of Magos Dominus Faustinius.
In the new game, you will be able to deploy them as leaders of the skirmish forces and upgrade them to make them even more effective in their leadership roles. Each of these advisors brings their own unique battlefield specializations and personalities to the table, offering a new strategic layer to the gameplay. As we mentioned above, the game will also serve as the video game debut of the Leagues of Votann faction. While their purpose on Hekateus IV is currently unknown and you will get to find out more when you play the game.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and PS5 later this year. A confirmed release date will be announced later, but in the meantime, you can head over to its official Steam page and add it to your wishlist.
