In anticipation of the highly awaited RPG launch, SQUARE ENIX has released an extended update to the demo for FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH, set to debut exclusively on the PS5 on Feb. 29. Entitled “Dawn of a New Era in Junon,” this free demo expansion builds upon the previously released Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim demo, offering players an even deeper glimpse into the expansive world awaiting them in one of the most anticipated games of 2024.
In Dawn of a New Era in Junon, players will venture alongside iconic characters including Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and Red XIII as they navigate the outskirts of Junon, a fortified stronghold housing an underwater reactor. This special preview, set several hours into the main storyline, allows players to freely explore a small segment of the vast in-game world. From uncovering treasures with trusty chocobo steeds to engaging in thrilling Combat Assignment missions, players will discover new forms of exploration and synergy attacks while witnessing the bonds between characters expressed through combat.
Moreover, players who complete the first part of the demo, Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim, will receive exclusive demo incentives such as the Kupo Charm and Survival Set. Additionally, they will have the option to either skip the same section in the full game upon release or experience it anew, offering flexibility for players eager to embark on their adventure.
While save data from the Dawn of a New Era in the Junon section cannot be carried over to the full game due to content alterations for a more streamlined experience, fans and newcomers alike will find plenty to enjoy in this extended demo. A demo patch addressing minor graphical fixes and other adjustments has also been released.
