Annapurna Interactive and developer Graceful Decay have revealed Uncanyon, a new puzzle-focused adventure built around the ability to manipulate and combine different realities. The game was announced during the latest PlayStation State of Play and is set to launch in 2027 for PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
In Uncanyon, players take on the role of Sonia, a stranger who finds herself in a mysterious land existing at the intersection of multiple parallel realities. Her journey revolves around saving this unusual world while navigating its dangers and uncovering its secrets.
The game’s central mechanic allows Sonia to interact with strange devices that can blend different realities into the environment around her. Rather than simply transporting players between separate worlds, Uncanyon lets them bring elements of alternate realities into their current surroundings, creating new possibilities for exploration and puzzle-solving.
According to the developers, players will encounter traps, monsters, and environmental puzzles throughout Sonia’s adventure. These challenges are designed around the game’s reality-manipulation mechanics and will require players to think beyond conventional solutions.
Graceful Decay Game Director and Studio Head Hanford Lemoore described Uncanyon as a project he has wanted to create for a long time, with a focus on exploration, curiosity, secrets, and storytelling.
The concept began with a simple question: what if players could enter an alternate reality without actually leaving their current one? That idea eventually evolved into the game’s world and its core gameplay systems.
Uncanyon joins Annapurna Interactive’s growing lineup of narrative-driven and experimental games, although the publisher has not yet shared a specific release date beyond its 2027 launch window.
More details about Uncanyon, including its gameplay systems and release plans, are expected to be revealed closer to launch. Players interested in playing Uncanyon can head over to its official PC Steam page or other platforms to add the game to their wishlists.
