Developer Bandai Namco Studios Singapore and publisher Kakehashi Games have announced the PS5 and PC release date for Hirogami. Hirogami is an upcoming origami-inspired 3D platform adventure game that was first revealed back at the Tokyo Game Show 2024. Hirogami is releasing on PS5 and PC via Steam on September 3, 2025. Initially, the game was only announced for PC, but during the recent State of Play, the publisher revealed that Hirogami is also releasing for the PS5.
Hirogami will put you in the shoes of Hiro, a brave warrior defending his fragile world from digital invaders called the Blight. Hiro is equipped with the ancient art of folding, and using this power, he can harness the power of origami animal forms to crash, smash, leap, roll, and soar through platforming puzzles. The combat of the game also revolved around this mechanic, as you will use your powers to defeat the foes and save the tranquil homeland of Shishiki Village.
Based on the scenarios you encounter, you will roll through enemies and obstacles as an Armadillo, jump through treetops and pound pests as an Ape, and leap into high places as a formidable Frog. With your folding powers, you will be able to transform into any animal you like to solve the problems and move on with the story. The game also features a beautiful art style.
