Developer Peposoft and publisher Phoenixx have announced the release date of their upcoming title FUBUKI ~zero in on Holoearth~. FUBUKI ~zero in on Holoearth~ is an upcoming pixelated action platformer, and it will be released on April 12, 2025, on PC via Steam. FUBUKI ~zero in on Holoearth~ transports you to an alternate reality inspired by Hololive Alternative, a “what-if” universe derived from the massively popular Hololive YouTube sensation, which boasts over 80 million followers worldwide.
You will step into the shoes of Shirakami Fubuki, a beloved Hololive character, as she takes a break from livestreaming to investigate mysterious portals appearing across Holoearth. Armed with a magical sword, Fubuki must navigate through diverse and imaginative landscapes, including the city streets of Yamato, Egyptian-themed casinos resembling Las Vegas, clown-filled carnivals, and haunted temples towering with eerie presence.
Check out the Release Date Trailer:
Throughout her journey, Fubuki will face waves of enemies possessed by evil spirits. In epic boss battles, she must defeat corrupted foes and free them from their possession, gaining their powers as assist summons. These newly acquired abilities can be used to aid Fubuki during future encounters, adding strategic depth to the fast-paced combat.
You can enhance Fubuki’s arsenal with a variety of unique items scattered throughout Yamato. These include mini-rocket foxes that fire in any direction and subweapons like a powerful pistol capable of eliminating enemies with a single shot. In addition, fan-inspired assist summons play a crucial role, with characters like Sukonbu, Fubuki’s fox-like companion, offering temporary power boosts. For those needing extra help, Mizore’s kitchen provides valuable consumables, including extra lives and mystery items that offer special upgrades.
Ahead of the official launch, you can experience a slice of the action through a playable demo available now on Steam. Fans attending the hololive SUPER EXPO 2025 at the TOKYO INDIE GAMES SUMMIT in Kichijoji, Tokyo, on March 8 and 9 will also have the opportunity to try the game firsthand.
Developer Peposoft expressed excitement about the positive reception during Steam Next Fest, highlighting that both Hololive fans and retro gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the game’s blend of modern fluidity and classic charm.
FUBUKI ~zero in on Holoearth~ is slated for release on PC via Steam on April 12, 2025. It will ship with Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language options at launch. If you are interested in playing it when it comes out, you can head over to its official Steam page and add it to your wishlist.
