GungHo Online Entertainment has announced that its upcoming bubble gun brawler Ninjala has been delayed by a month and will not release in June 2020. Ninjala was originally slated for a release on May 28, 2020, but after the recent announcement, the game will now release on June 25, 2020, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
The developer claims that the delay has been announced because of the currently ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The developer recently held the game’s beta test and the announcement comes right after a week of the test. The test did not go as planned since most of the players reported that they were not able to join the beta test at all during the entire time and those who did, suffered from really long queue times.
These technical issues and server tests could be another one of the reasons behind the game’s delay however the developer’s official Twitter post claims that Ninjala getting delayed is because of the current pandemic situation. Due to the spread of new coronavirus worldwide, the release date of Ninjala will be postponed from May 28th (Thursday) to June 25th (Thursday).
We deeply apologize to all of you who have been looking forward to this, but we would appreciate your understanding.
Ninjala was revealed for the first time during Nintendo’s E3 Direct back in 2018 and recently during its Direct stream in March 2020, we got to see more of Ninjala as well. The release date might have been pushed further one month but we are still looking forward to playing it when it finally arrives on Nintendo eShop.
