There is a handful of Potions in Hogwarts Legacy that you can brew and use for their various effects. Although not many, each Potion provides its benefit but first requires you to brew them using the ingredients that a Potion recipe calls for. This Hogwarts Legacy Potions Recipe Guide will show you how to get all the Potion recipes, the ingredients required to brew them, and what each potion does when you use it.

Heals and restores your health a little 
Invisibility Potion  Can be purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions located in Hogsmeade 
  • 1 Knotgrass Sprig 
  • 1 Leaping Toadstool Caps 
  • 1 Troll Bogeys 
Makes you invisible for some time and enemies lose sight of you after consumption 
Endurus Potion  Unlocked after you complete the Potions Class mission 
  • 1 Mongrel Fur 
  • 1 Ashwinder Egg 
Increases your defense by covering you with a rocky layer 
Thunderbrew Potion  Can be purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions located in Hogsmeade 
  • 1 Stench of the Dead 
  • 1 Leech Juice 
  • 1 Shrivelfig Fruit 
Creates a storm that protects you from nearby enemies. Enemies caught in the storm will take damage and will be stunned. 
Maxima Potion  Can be purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions located in Hogsmeade 
  • 1 Spider Fang 
  • 1 Leech Juice 
Damage from your spells is increased for some time. 
Focus Potion  Can be purchased form J. Pippin’s Potions located in Hogsmeade 
  • 1 Dugbog Tongue 
  • 1 Lacewing Fly 
  • 1 Fluxweed Stem 
Spell cooldown is reduced 
Felix Felicis  DLC item from the Deluxe Edition of the game. 
  • 1 Fluxweed Stem 
  • 1 Lacewing Fly 
Increases your success rate, and shows you hidden locations of big loot chests, highlighted on your minimap. The effects of the potion will last for a day in the game.
