While there are many ways you can get Gold in Hogwarts Legacy, there are two best ways that get you the most amount of gold.
Catch and Sell Beasts
The ability to catch beasts comes after you have played a good amount of the story, up until you have completed “The Elf, The Nab Sack, and the Loom” mission of the game. This is because you need the Nab Sack, the item that lets you catch beasts.
Once you have completed the mission and got the Nab Sack, you can now go to Beast Hunting Spots on your map and catch as many beasts as you can. When your inventory gets full, you can now head to Hogsmeade, specifically at the Brood and Peck shop. Each Beast that you sell will fetch you 120 gold per beast.
You can respawn all the beasts by advancing the in-game time by using the Wait button on the map screen. This will allow you to repeat the catching and selling process all over again.
More Ways to Get Gold
While catching and selling beast is the best way to quickly make as much Gold as you can, there are other ways you can get some gold to increase the amount. This can be done by selling all the unwanted gear that you don’t need anymore and trading it for Gold.
