Russian video game developer and publisher 1C Game Studios has officially revealed the first images and gameplay video of its upcoming title The War of the World: Siberia. The War of the World: Siberia is a third-person action-adventure game based on the iconic science-fiction novel by Herbert G. Wells. The game takes place in an alternate universe version of 1896 in Siberia and in it, you take on the role of a survivor who must complete the mission at any cost and escape. The developer has released an action-packed trailer showcasing actual gameplay and intense action that we can expect from the game when it comes out.

The game takes place against the panic-stricken backdrop of Petrograd, a Siberian city during an alternate version of 1896. During this timeline, the Earth is a target of a massive Martian invasion, and the game follows survivors who are trying to save themselves and escape from the city in a bid to reach the eastern end of the Russian Empire. The gameplay features combat, puzzle-solving, and stealth as core elements that you will use to complete different missions and ultimately ensure your escape from the city.
The developers have shared the following key features of the game:
- A thrilling third-person view action-adventure experience.
- A unique setting of the Russian Empire under the rule of alien invaders.
- An intricate story with memorable characters, historically inspired by 19th-century Russia.
- Equipped with dozens of weapons, from cap-lock rifles and black powder pistols to the Maxim machine gun.
- Stealth elements and spatial puzzles.
This is all the information we have about the title. The developers have not revealed any additional information such as a release window or platforms. We know that it is coming out on PC, but the stores are still unknown. We do not have a Steam page for the game as of now so we are not sure whether it will launch via Steam or Epic Games Store or both as of now.
