
Publisher Daedalic Entertainment has announced that the 12th-century medieval visual novel The Pillars of the Earth is launching on Nintendo Switch. The Pillars of the Earth will release on Nintendo Switch tomorrow, March 1, 2023. The Pillars of the Earth is a unique game based on Ken Follett’s world-bestseller and it retells the story of the village of Kingsbridge in a whole new interactive way.

In The Pillars of the Earth, you will play as Jack, Aliena, and Philip and change the events of the book through exploration, decision-making, and dialogues. The game is set in 12th-century England, a time of great poverty and war. A small town begins the construction of a cathedral to claim wealth and security for its people. In their struggle to survive, lives and destinies intertwine and Philip the monk becomes prior of the small abbey Kingsbridge. At the same time, a boy named Jack is raised in the woods by his outlawed mother.
His apprenticeship as a stonemason paves his way to become a gifted master builder and together with the disgraced noblewoman Aliena, Jack and Philip begin the construction of one of the greatest cathedrals England will ever see. Key features of The Pillars of the Earth include:

The Pillars of the Earth is currently available on PC, Mac, Linux, and consoles including Xbox One and PS4. With its latest release, it will be available on the Nintendo Switch as well.
