Developer Gridsnap Games and publisher Rogue Games have announced the release date for their upcoming frenetic first-person telekinetic brawler Stop Dead. Stop Dead is slated for release on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on October 5, 2023. Stop Dead combines humor and intense action together to deliver a comic-book-inspired cityscape where catching a break will bring only death to you. Check out the latest trailer for Stop Dead below before we jump into additional details:
In Stop Dead, you will be able to use superhuman abilities to pick up over 160 unique throwable objects like guns, chainsaws, and the bloodied corpses of your enemies. The gameplay also incorporates leaping, sliding and other cool parkour moves for easy traversal on more than 40 levels and four biomes to achieve S ranks. Mike Moore, Creative Overlord at Gridsnap Games comments:
When we started working on Stop Dead, we didn’t have much other than throwing ragdolls, lots of blood, and chaos. When Rogue asked us to just ‘keep doing that,’ we knew we found the right partner. Rogue has given us nothing but great ideas and support throughout the development of Stop Dead and has helped us turn it into the best game it can be.
Rogue CEO Matt Casamassina also adds:
If you think you’ve played everything the FPS genre has to offer, I believe a few minutes with Stop Dead will prove otherwise in glorious fashion. The extremely talented team at Gridsnap has created an innovative new take on the genre that is as much about movement and flow as it is successfully traversing expansive worlds and using wild physics to thwart enemies and stay alive.
