WB Games and DC have released a new story trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in development from Rocksteady Studios. Rocksteady Studios is known for their development of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series and now they are working on the new genre-defying, action-adventure third-person shooter based on the Suicide Squad franchise.

The latest Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League trailer sheds light on the origins of Amanda Waller’s infamous Task Force X or more commonly known as the Suicide Squad. The Suicide Squad comprises Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. The trailer details how the Suicide Squad embarks on its mission to take down the World’s Greatest DC Super Heroes, The Justice League.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League features an original narrative set within an expansive open-world Metropolis and it puts the four DC Super-Villains on a collision course with an invading alien force and DC Super Heroes who are now focused on destroying the city once they vowed to protect. To ensure that Task Force X does not go rogue, each of them has a lethal explosive planted in their head which will go off at the first sign of defiance.

Announced last year, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is slated for a worldwide release in 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, A confirmed release date will be announced at a later date and a previous-gen release of the title is not confirmed at this point so we might be only getting a next-gen launch of the title. Additional details about the game will be released in the coming months leading to its release.
