Developer Starni Games and publisher Hyperstrange have announced the release date of their upcoming turn-based WWII strategy game Strategic Mind: Spirit of Liberty. Strategic Mind: Spirit of Liberty is a historically accurate strategy game which means that the events portrayed in the game are real and/or inspired by real events. Set in World War II, you will lead the Finnish forces against an overwhelming threat through the Winter War, Continuation War as well as the Lapland War.

Strategic Mind: Spirit of Liberty will be the fifth installment of the Strategic Mind series and it will allow you to witness a completely different side of World War II. The Finnish army was pretty ill-equipped during the battle, and they were one of the countries continuously under attack by the Soviet and Axis powers through three major wars. In the game, you will command these ill-equipped forces and desperately try to starve off the enemies attacking from all fronts.
You will oversee squadrons, distribution of supplies, munitions upgrades, and coordinate with the HQ to control the battlefield. You will relive the events of the past or carve a brand-new route for yourself consisting of ‘What-If’ scenarios that will alter the course of time. These are experienced through two separate campaigns Historical and What If. The Historical campaign will feature smaller-scale battles from the years 1939 to 1945 and you will experience the three of the biggest battles that the Finnish army fought. The What If campaign will be a shorter campaign with larger-scale operations that will present different unique scenarios based on the original events.
