Squad Update 8.2 Introduces Friends List, New Weapons, and Gameplay Tweaks

Offworld Industries has rolled out Update 8.2 for its popular 50v50 military FPS, Squad. This latest update introduces the much-awaited Squad Friends List, allowing you to connect and organize play sessions with teammates easily. Whether coordinating with seasoned veterans or fresh recruits, the Friends List will allow you to add your favorite people to a shortlist and jump into games with them quickly and without any hassle.

Update 8.2 also brings some visual and gameplay enhancements. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) now boasts new Woodland Camouflage uniforms, while their original camouflage is reclassified as their Winter set. A fresh arsenal of weapons has also been added, further diversifying combat options. USMC marksmen gain access to the M39 EMR, replacing the M38 rifle.

The M110 Suppressed has been introduced for USA marksmen in Light Infantry and Air Assault Battlegroups, replacing its non-suppressed counterpart. Additionally, the AUG rifle replaces the M4 Simon Offense + M150 for WPMC riflemen, and the Mosin Carbine makes a return, now featured in a new second raider role for Insurgents.

The update also delivers a range of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks aimed at improving balance across factions, battlegroups, and maps. These adjustments ensure smoother and more strategic gameplay, enhancing the overall experience for you.
