SNK Reveals New DLC Character Warden for Samurai Shodown, Releasing Today

Samurai Shodown Warden

SNK Corporation has finally revealed the brand new DLC character Warden for weapon-fighting game Samurai Shodown. Warden is the lone swordsman from Ubisoft’s For Honor franchise and it is arriving as a DLC character in Samurai Shodown today on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia and Nintendo Switch. Warden’s fighting style with the sword and his commitment to honor and challenge make him the perfect DLC character for Samurai Shodown.

SNK has also released a brand new trailer showcasing Warden in action in Samurai Shodown. Check it out below:

The arrival of Warden from For Honor makes up for a great crossover between two epic franchises. Warden in the game fits perfectly with his sword-based attacks and fighting style. He has been adapted really well in the iconic Samurai Shodown art style as you can see in the trailer above. He really looks like he is at home in the game.

Ubisoft also shared their own message on this brand new collaboration:

We are very excited and proud to see our knight, the WARDEN, join SNK’s SAMURAI SHODOWN as a DLC character. It’s an honor to be part of such a renowned franchise that has existed for decades.

For Honor is Ubisoft’s long-running action combat franchise which recently received its Year 4 Season 2 Tyranny with tons of new content for players to unlock and experience. The new season Tyranny arrived as part of the new Centurion Update which was long-due and is one of the major updates ever released for the game. With Warden arriving in Samurai Shodown, we can certainly look forward to more characters arriving from the franchise as well. We would love to see Samurai Shodown’s character roster expand with even more DLC fighters. Previously released DLC characters for the game include Iroha, Sogetsu, Mina, and Shiki.
