Developer Disaster Games and publishers Selecta Play and Astrolabe Games have officially announced the launch of Morkul Ragast’s Rage. Morkull Ragast’s Rage, the action-packed 2D platformer, is now available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. In the game, you will take control of Morkull, the self-proclaimed God of Death and Darkness, as he escapes the mysterious realm of Ragast to unleash his sinister plans on the world.
In this unique twist on the hero’s journey, Morkull isn’t here to save the day—he’s here to dominate it. Despite being the story’s villain, he proudly takes on the role of the protagonist, breaking the fourth wall with sharp humor, pop culture references, and a playful attitude. Aware that he’s a character in a video game, Morkull directly interacts with the player, urging them to assist in his escape and eventual conquest.

The game’s hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation is inspired by classic animated films and beloved 2D games. This artistic approach brings the dark fantasy world of Ragast to life, creating an immersive experience that blends humor with fast-paced, combo-driven combat. You can experiment with various moves and abilities, using Morkull’s powers to crush enemies and defeat formidable bosses scattered throughout the realm.
Beyond combat, Morkull Ragast’s Rage features explorative platforming that challenges you to navigate the richly detailed world. While avoiding deadly traps and uncovering hidden secrets, you must guide Morkull through the depths of Ragast, where new enemies and surprises await at every turn.
One of the game’s standout features is its self-aware storytelling. Morkull not only acknowledges his existence within a game but also references his creators at Disaster Games, making the player an active participant in his journey. This playful narrative approach adds a unique layer to the platforming adventure, blending comedy with chaos.
Morkull Ragast’s Rage is now available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. If you are looking to purchase the game on PC, Nintendo Switch, or PS5, you can first try out a free demo of the game as well, which gives you a small taste of the full game. If you prefer adding physical editions to your collection, a Physical Special Edition is also available for PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
