A new trailer showcased at The Game Awards has revealed Rage 2 release date. Rage 2 will release May 14, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The first person mad max crazy style shooter game is developed by Avalanche Studios and id Software. Bethesda Softworks will publish the game.
Bethesda Softworks released the new open world trailer showcasing more of the crazy action in the game along with Rage 2 release date The trailer is mix of amazing action, awesome music and stylish skill kills. In case you missed the trailer, check out here.
Rage 2 is direct sequel to the first game titled ‘Rage’ which released in 2011. Rage 2 is returning after 8 years and will have definite improvements over its predecessor. The game world is set in post-apocalyptic setting and players will assume control of ranger Walker. The game adopts open world genre. The combat in game is very much diverse, players will get to fight hand to hand or using guns. The game features vehicular combat in first person mode.
Rage 2 takes place 30 years later from the story of the original Rage game. The game will feature cast of original game as well as new one. The post-apocalyptic setting of the world is due to an asteroid crash after which the world is inhibited by dangerous mutants.
Almost two months ago, Rage 2 was rumored to feature a battle royale mode. There were a lot of discussions over Reddit if Rage 2 will adopt the mainstream modern multiplayer mode. Tim Willits, Studio Director replied sarcastically by saying that:
… we don’t have Battle Royale in “Rage 2” – unless you go the store and there is only one copy of “Rage 2″ remaining and many people want to buy it!
The original Rage released in 2011 and now Rage 2 will release after eight years. The last game released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The graphics were pretty decent for that time. The Rage 2 will utilize the graphics of current generation of consoles.
