Although just a small teaser, the trailer effectively showcases the upcoming release in a promising physical form. Alan Wake: Design Works will feature extensive developer interviews from some of the biggest names in the franchise, such as Sam Lake, Mikael Kasurinen, Ilkka Villi, Matthew Porretta, Melanie Liburd, David Harewood, and many others. The release will cover Alan Wake’s entire journey, starting from its concept as a Lynchian response to Remedy’s Max Payne series, all the way to Wake’s appearance alongside Old Gods of Asgard at The Game Awards. Alan Wake: Design Works is the ultimate tribute to the franchise.
Alan Wake: Design Works will receive three different editions. It boasts new insights and development stories of these three iconic titles, accompanied by striking concept art from the Alan Wake archives. Featuring visuals inspired by the Mind Palace, you will find Lost In Cult’s signature presentation and attention to detail as you explore Bright Falls deeper than ever before. The different editions include:
- Standard Edition
- Deluxe Edition
- SIGNED Deluxe Edition
The Standard Edition features a 250+ page hardback book featuring an extensive deep dive with new insights, development stories, and concept art.

The Deluxe Edition features everything from the Standard Edition as well as the full Return manuscript, available in print for the first time, along with a Bright Falls map, postcard, crime scene polaroids, Oh Deer dinner napkin, and more goodies. It is pre-order exclusive, and the campaign ends October 17, 2025. The Deluxe Edition features a luxurious foil-block finished clamshell presentation box, which reveals the cover for Alan Wake’s masterpiece: Return.
It comes with a wrap that transforms your copy into the ‘much anticipated sequel to Departure and Initiation’. You will also find a double-sided bookmark with cult symbols on the background.
The large fold-out map of Bright Falls features an extensive look at Cauldron Lake, while the series of polaroids taken from Saga Anderson’s Mind Palace will channel your inner FBI agent. The manuscript to Return comes with 57 pages presented in full for the first time ever. You will also find a poster of Coffee World and a napkin from Oh Deer Diner, along with a postcard from Watery, WA. Finally, it also comes with a signature card of Alan Wake digitally signed by actors Ilkka Villi and Matthew Porretta.
