Strictly Limited Games is teaming up with QUByte and PIKO Interactive to release limited physical editions of the cult classic Jim Power: The Lost Dimension. Jim Power: The Lost Dimension is a re-release of the 90s cult classic and it will release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. While it may be a re-release, it will stick close to the original spirit of the game.

Along with the standard release, hardcore fans will be able to nab strictly limited retro cartridges of the game which will be compatible with SNES, SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive, which was canceled and never released along with a newly developed version for NES as well. This will be the most definitive release of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension to date. Jim Power: The Lost Dimension will be available for purchase on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and retro cartridges in Special Limited Editions.

Pre-orders will go live on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 12 AM CET(midnight) exclusively at the official website of Strictly Limited Games. The Limited Edition will be limited to only 2,000 copies for Nintendo Switch and 1,000 copies for PS4. It will set you back $34.99 and it will include a colorful game manual. The Special Limited Edition is limited to 1,000 copies for Nintendo Switch and 500 copies for PS4 and it will set you back $59.99. It will include the following goodies:

Jim Power: The Lost Dimension Physical

The retro editions of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension will include:

  • Cartridge compatible with SNES® including the game based on the digital, enhanced re-release of the SNES® version. Limited to 149 PAL and 222 NTSC versions.
  • Cartridge compatible with NES® with the newly developed version of Jim Power! Limited to 333 units.
  • Cartridge compatible with SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive coming with the never officially released Genesis version of Jim Power! Limited to 333 units.

Each of these versions will have the same price of $54.99. If you want to collect all of the retro cartridges in one bundle, you can go for the Jim Power Bundle which will include all three retro cartridges along with an exclusive soundtrack, an art card, and a poster. This highly special edition is limited to just 33 PAL and 66 NTSC copies, and each copy will set you back $154.99.

All of the new gen along with the retro bundles and single versions will be available on Sunday for pre-orders on the official website of Strictly Limited Games. The PS4 and Nintendo Switch version of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension will also include the NES version of the game which has been developed from scratch by PIKO Interactive. The SEGA Genesis version is also included in the bundle which was originally slated for release back in the 90s however it was canceled last minute. Fans will be able to try out both the modern as well as the retro versions on their favorite console.

The story of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension revolves around the evil alien villain Vaprak who is threatening to destroy the earth which is the last planet standing between it and the entry to the 5th dimension. His success will result in his species flooding the galaxy and humanity’s loss. Key features of the re-release of the game include:
