Hollow Knight: Silksong, a sequel to the original game has been announced for not only PC but Nintendo Switch as well. The game will also be coming to Linux and Mac so pretty much anyone will be able to play the game. The original Hollow Knight was not very taxing on the graphics or CPU so that is very understandable.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will offer new areas, enemies, weapons and challenges. The following is what the developer Team Cherry had to say regarding the upcoming game:
Almost from the very start, Hornet’s adventure was intended to take place in a new land, but as we dove in, it quickly became too large and too unique to stay a DLC, as initially planned. We do know that makes the wait a little longer, but we think the final, fresh world you’ll get to explore is worth it.
Hollow Knight: Silksong features a new kingdom where there are new areas to explore such as; coral forests, mossy grottos, gilded cities and misted moors. Players will not only be able to craft items and weapons but will also have access to traps and mechanisms to help you defeat the enemies that you will encounter.
The game features more than 150 new enemies that include; beasts, hunters, assassins, kings, monsters and knights. Hollow Knight’s award-winning composer, Christopher Larkin is back and will be composing all the new music for the sequel. The music in the first game was amazing and we expect nothing less from the sequel.
All the people that backed the original game will get the new one for free. Any backer that has paid more than $10AUD will be able to choose a platform on which he or she wants to play the game and will receive a copy of the game for that platform for free. You can also check out the other games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch:
- Super Mario Maker 2
- Fire Emblem: Three Houses
- Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Remake
