We are just moments away for the 10th season of Fortnite to go live. Fortnite X is currently in downtime for the Season 10 update that will bring in a lot of changes to the map, and quite possible old features as well. Epic Games has also released the patch notes for Season 10 of Fortnite that detail the new Brute Mech suite vehicle and other items being brought back from the vault.
Typically with Fortnite, Epic removes a lot of items to incorporate new changes, weapons, and vehicles in the game. This season is no different as the patch notes detail the new mech suit vehicle that can allow two players to board the vehicle. Additionally, Rift Zones have also been added in the game for the new season.
The Zero Point Explosion shown in the trailer has made the island volatile. This means that the locations that were previously vault have started appearing once again, this also includes the famed Dusty Depot prior to the meteor crash in Season 4
The patch notes detail the Brute mech suit, which has two seats. One for the driver and one for the passenger. The driver can dash into combat, Super Jump to victory and stomp enemies and structures into the ground. You can also harvest materials by destroying.
The passenger seat allows the passenger to use the two weapons at their disposal. The mech suit includes a shotgun and a missile launcher. The shotgun has a clip size of 10, and deals 50 damage, with a 1.5x headshot multiplier. The missile launcher can fire 10 missiles all at once and requires you to hold down Trigger to begin loading missiles. After you have loaded 10 missiles, all missiles will automatically fire.
The mech also has the Overshield which consumes 200 of any material type to create a personal Overshield for 5 seconds to protect you in the mech.
Other than the bug fixes and various improvements, the new additions have caused Epic games to vault many items. The items that are vaulted are:
- Baller
- Quad Crashed
- Flint Knock Pistol
- Semi-Auto Sniper
- Tactical Assault Rifle
- Mounted Turret
- Air Strike
- Itemized Glider Redeploy
