Codemasters has released detailed information about the different versions of their upcoming F1 2019 and the Legends Edition will bring back Senna and Prost. The two legendary F1 drivers will take the seat of their iconic F1 racers in F1 2019 again and will renew their rivalry in the latest F1 title.

Along with the Legends Edition, Codemasters has also revealed the Anniversary Edition which will feature a unique cover art for every country which has a famous F1 driver. Along with this, Codemasters has also revealed the steelbook for F1 2019 along with confirmation that FIA Formula 2 Championship is also coming to the latest title in the franchise.

Starting with the Legends Edition, players will be able to jump in the shoes of their favorite iconic racer Ayton Senna or Alain Prost and jump in their iconic F1 cars 1990 McLaren MP4/5B and Ferrari F1-90. Both of them along with their cars are exclusive to the Legends Edition of F1 2019. Players will face-off in eight race challenges and also receive exclusive Senna and Prost themed multiplayer car liveries.

Legends Editions will be available for all players three days early as well so true fans of the franchise can get a head start at the leaderboards. The official box art for the Legends Edition has also been revealed which you can check out below.

F1 2019 is the tenth title in the F1 franchise and to celebrate it, Codemasters is releasing the special Anniversary Edition which will come with two race-winning cars from the 2010 season which include there Ferrari F10 which was driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa and McLaren MP4-25 which was driven by Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

Both these cars are included in the Legends Edition while players can purchase both cars later as DLC as well. Along with these cars, the game will also retain Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber’s 2010 Red Bull RB6 along with many classic cars from the previous title in the franchise. Codemasters has also revealed the Limited Edition steelbook for F1 2019 which looks amazing.

As teased at the end of the announcement trailer, F1 2019 is indeed bringing FIA Formula 2 Championship to the table. The game will feature the complete 2018 season right at launch while the F2 2019 season will be added to the game digitally later in the year so players can look forward to that as well. Some of the fan-favorite F2 drivers in the game include George Russel, Alexander Albon, and Lando Norris.

Pre-orders for F1 2019 are now live. The game is slated for release on June 28, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Players who purchase the F1 2019 Legends Edition can play the game early on June 25, 2019.
