F1 2019

Codemasters has announced a release date for its next F1 title F1 2019 and it is coming a lot sooner than we expected. F1 2019 is the next title in Codemasters F1 franchise which is the official game of the Formula 1. Apart from an early release date, F1 2019 is also getting some new changes such as the addition of Formula 2 which is the junior branch of F1.

Codemasters has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming title. It does not show many details about the title or any actual gameplay however it shows different F1 vehicles which will be featured in the upcoming title. The trailer also shows the Dallara F2 vehicle which is used in the F2 season and it shows that the series is indeed making its way to F1 2019.

The new game will feature all vehicles in their 2019 season specifications. Apart from normal F1 racers, the new game will also feature a specially built 2019 car which can be customized by players according to their will. This will allow them to use custom liveries in online races where they normally race with normal F1 cars which cannot be customized visually.

The game is arriving just in time for Austrian F1 Grand Prix weekend. In the official press release, Paul Jeal who is the F1 Franchise Director at Codemasters stated:

We are absolutely delighted to be able to release F1® 2019 earlier in the Formula 1® Season, so that the game can be played and enjoyed at the same time that the real-world championship picture is starting to form.

Our close relationship with Formula 1® has played a major part in achieving this key objective for the franchise. That in addition to our near two-year development cycle, has allowed us to develop some exciting new features and other firsts for the franchise that we can’t wait to share with our community in the coming months.

In the same press release, Lee Mather who is the F1 2019 Game Director at Codemasters shared:

The exciting collaboration with Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds has created new levels of player personalization in F1® 2019 through the inclusion of the new regulation car.

With the continued growth of the F1® series, it’s great to give players more control and new levels of car and driver customization and we can’t wait to talk more about this alongside the new multiplayer features in the coming months.

Codemasters will release more information about the game in the coming days. You can check out the official press release as well for more details about the title. The game is slated for release on June 28, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
