This Subnautica 2 Bioscanner Guide shows how we can unlock and craft the Bioscanner in the game. The Bioscanner is a useful upgrade that helps you locate items that have not yet been scanned. Before you can craft it, you will need to find and scan the blueprint hidden within a wreck near the Alien Ruins. After that, you will have to gather a few resources and use a Modification Station to create the upgrade.
Bioscanner Guide – Subnautica 2
To unlock the Bioscanner, first progress through the main story until you gain access to the Alien Ruins region. Within this area, you will eventually reach the Research Outpost, which serves as the starting point for this search.
From the entrance of the Research Outpost, travel 120 degrees southeast toward a nearby wreck. This wreck is 570 metres away. Once you arrive, enter the wreck and head into the room on the right side.

The doorway is locked, so you will need a Repair Tool to open it. After the door is unlocked, swim through the interior sections of the wreck and then go left.
Follow the straight path until you reach a tunnel leading downward.

As you descend and move to the right, you will come across an oxygen refill tank that can be used if your oxygen supply is getting low. Continue following the straight path and go down where you can until you reach the final chamber. Inside this room, you will find the Bioscanner blueprint. Scan it to unlock the recipe.
Besides the Bioscanner fragment, there is an exit. Use your Repair Tool to open the exit door and make your way back to your vehicle.
Requirements for Crafting the Bioscanner
After unlocking the blueprint, you will need access to a Modification Station. The Bioscanner recipe requires a Scanner, 2 Enameled Glass, and 5 Conduit Crystals.
Since Enamelled Glass requires additional materials, you will need to gather those first before completing the upgrade.
Collecting Creature Enamel
To obtain Creature Enamel, travel from the Research Outpost toward a large mountain located to the southeast at 165 degrees.

Around this area, you will find unusual spiky growths attached to the environment. These contain the material needed for Enamelled Glass. Use a Sonic Resonator to break them apart and collect the resource inside. Search around the mountain and nearby surfaces, and you should be able to find several of these formations.
Getting Glass
The glass component is much simpler to obtain. Collect Quartz and use it to craft Glass through the normal crafting process. Once you have both Glass and Creature Enamel, you can combine them to create Enamelled Glass.
Finding Conduit Crystals
The final resource you will need is a Conduit Crystal. Several of these can be found around the Angel comb region near the Research Outpost.

While exploring the area, check around rock formations, elevated ledges, and nearby platforms. Conduit Crystals can appear in multiple spots throughout the region, so it is worth searching carefully. Additional crystal deposits can also be found by following the Angel comb area toward the northeast.
Crafting the Bioscanner
Once you have gathered all the required materials, return to your Modification Station. Open the Prototype Tool Modifications section and select the Bioscanner upgrade.
After crafting it, your Scanner will be upgraded with a radar feature that can detect nearby objects that have not yet been scanned. This makes exploration much easier.
