Mouse: P I For Hire Launch Trailer Arrives Ahead of Its Release Next Week
To celebrate the upcoming launch, the developer has released the launch trailer for the title, showcasing narrative elements, gun fights, and in-game action. In Mouse: P.I. For Hire, players step into the shoes of Private Investigator Jack Pepper, a former war hero-turned detective. After jumping on a simple missing persons case, things quickly escalate into a complex web of murder, corruption, and kidnapping. Set in the sprawling underbelly of Mouseburg, Jack Pepper will need to use everything he has to solve the mystery and complete his investigation.
At Jack’s disposal, there are a variety of wacky weapons ranging from simple machine guns to experimental firearms. To make them even punchier, different upgrades can be unlocked and applied. As players investigate different suspects and visit unique areas, they will encounter lethal enemies and tough boss battles in boomer shooter-inspired gunplay. The story will take players across different environments such as film studios, opera buildings, swamps, and underground sewers.
Probably the most unique aspect of Mouse: P.I. For Hire is the unique visual design of the game. It takes inspiration from the 1930s cartoons with black and white, hand-drawn rubber hose animations. This is made further authentic by an original jazz soundtrack featuring a big band orchestral ensemble.
Mouse: P.I. For Hire is releasing next week, on April 16, 2026, on PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Wishlists are now open across all platforms.
