You should begin from your Life Pod and then head toward the north side of the area. After swimming for a bit, you should come across a large coral formation. Near this location, you will see a wire leading down toward a small underwater structure. That looks similar to a crab observation station. This is the area you want to explore.

Once you reach the structure, you will see blue lights along the path. Follow the blue lights deeper into the path below. The silver deposits can usually be found around this lower section. Finding silver can be tricky because the ore has a dark gray color that easily blends into the surrounding rocks. You need to move slowly and check the walls and ground closely while exploring the cave area.
