War Robots Unveils Titan Battle Cinematic and Teases Lovecraftian Horror in Update 12.1

War Robots

Developer and publisher MY.GAMES has dropped a new cinematic for War Robots, its tactical PvP shooter developed by in-house studio Pixonic, while also giving players a first look at what’s coming in the game’s major 12.1 update, arriving May 24, 2026.

The new video is part of the ongoing War Robots Live Show series and spotlights the Martian Robotic Games, a large in-game event inspired by global athletic competitions. The cinematic centers on a high-stakes clash between two elite Titans, Bersagliere and Atlas, with the action captured by hovering support drones, featuring dynamic camera angles and championship-style commentary.

The game, which has been played by more than 325 million players worldwide, is also gearing up for one of its more ambitious updates yet. Titled Shadow over Shore, the upcoming content takes players to a fog-covered, derelict coastal city on Earth, inhabited by exiled EvoLife pilots and a wave of biomechanical horrors inspired by Lovecraftian fiction.

Leading the new roster is Shoggoth, a sniper robot that elevates its weapons to 70 meters above the ground to fire over cover, staying safely out of reach of return fire. Joining it are three new spatial weapons: the Shantak, Urhag, and Voonith cannons, which fire vertical energy blades that grow more powerful the further they travel.

The update also introduces the R’lyeh Mothership, which can deploy a “Funnel of Doom” zone capable of draining maximum durability, effectively neutralising repairs and healing during battle. Rounding out the update is the return of a fan favourite, the Ultimate Rhino, now equipped with unbreakable shields to take on the new meta.

War Robots

Released back in 2018, War Robots is an online third-person 6v6 PvP shooter where players can engage in wars with dozens of combat robots. The game features a vast array of weapons, allowing fighters to create unique combinations and dominate in clan battles. War Robots is available on iOS, Android, Steam, and MY.GAMES’s own platform.
