Developer Stray Bombay has announced the launch of the fifth update called The MODerately Extravagant Update for their title The Anacrusis. The Anacrusis was released five months ago in Early Access on Steam and Xbox Game Preview and since then, the developer has been pushing out updates for the game to make it meatier and better all around. The latest update is called The MODerately Extravagant Update and it is coming out today for the game on both platforms.
With the launch of The MODerately Extravagant Update, The Anacrusis gets its first cross-play compatible user-created mod campaigns, a first look at the new weapon-modification system, two new holdout maps, and a lot more content. To celebrate the fifth update, the developer has also announced that from June 9 to July 7, players will be able to get The Anarusis at a 50% discount along with a free weekend from June 9 to June 12.
Xbox players will get their discount window of 50% from June 14 to June 20. The Anacrusis has full cross-play support so no matter where you purchase the game, you can play with the other platform without any issues. All of the five updates released for the game are community-guided and the developer is working hard to align features and updates according to fan feedback. For the future, Stray Bombay is currently working on the addition of more new fantastical weapons, Versus mode, finishing Episodes 4 and 5, expanding mod support beyond maps and campaigns, adding a new season of content to the Infinity Pass, and a lot more.
