Storm Rising Event, Possible New Hero Teased for Overwatch

Storm Rising Event Overwatch

Blizzard is at it again and has recently teased a new limited-time event for Overwatch called Storm Rising and a possible new hero as well. The latest tease comes in the form of a clipping from the fictional newspaper called Havana Sun which was posted on Overwatch’s main site. After the clipping, a new tweet was posted the other day which detailed Storm Rising along with a possible new hero reveal.

The new hero appears to be called Sojourn. It is pretty common for Overwatch to tease limited time events and new characters this way. This is not the first time Blizzard has released Twitter teases or newspaper clippings on its site. While the original clipping may be in Spanish, a complete English translation is provided at the bottom.

The clipping details the unknown corporate takeover of Don Rumbotico which is a popular distillery but like most popular businesses, its past is not clean. The founders eventually had to sell the business in severe loss because they were unable to continue their work in peace after they refused to sell the distillery to an anonymous financial group.

You can check out Blizzard’s Tweet below.

You can also check out the newspaper clipping by heading over the main Overwatch website. The clipping can be followed by the short teaser video in the tweet above in which a person who identifies as Sojourn is giving briefing about an archived mission in Overwatch team’s database. Sojourn might be a new hero coming to Overwatch. The limited-timed event is scheduled to run from April 16 to May 6, 2019.

There are also chances that a brand new map may arrive in the game which is set in Havana however there is no confirmed word on it and it may be a hunch. Fans have also suggested that the mysterious corporation behind the distillery events could be Talon because they are Overwatch’s bad guys’ organization.

Blizzard will reveal more information about the new event in the coming days as well as about the new character or map if they are indeed coming with the update. We will keep you updated with more updates so keep checking back. The chances of a new hero are pretty slim because Overwatch recently received Baptiste as a new hero.
