Respawn has announced that players will be able to play Solo mode soon in Apex Legends however there’s a small catch. The Solo mode is not permanent rather players will only get to try it out for 2 weeks. Once the 2 weeks have passed, the event will end however it will give players a good feel of how Apex Legends will feel when the game is played solo.
All we can think about is that Respawn is just trying to run a test run for the mode in which they want to see if players are actually willing to play Apex Legends solo if the mode ever arrives in the game permanently. They might also check out what sort of fixes and balances they might need to implement the mode permanently in the game.
All we know that players are going to get a lot better at the game in Solo because it forces players to play better to survive rather than piggybacking on their good teammates. It will be a unique experience to try out Solo in Apex Legends because we have always seen Apex as a squad game and there’s always someone to watch out your back in the game.
Next week, only one can reign. 👑

Solos will run from August 13 to 27, 2019 and it will be part of the Iron Crown Collection event. This is the first time Apex Legends will allow players to jump in the game solo. After Solos, we might eventually get Duos down the road as well. Nearly all Battle Royale games come with Solos, Duos and Squads. However, Apex Legends has kept itself apart from the lot by sticking to the Squads formula.
