Pearl Abyss has rolled out a major update for Black Desert Mobile, introducing a new combat mode called Boss Blitz while the game’s 2026 Martial God Championship heads into its final stage.
Boss Blitz is a fast-paced battle format that pits players against powerful bosses within a strict three-minute time limit, with the emphasis firmly on tactical play. The mode is available to players who have reached 60,000 Combat Power and features rotating bosses across two difficulty settings. Beginner mode offers on-screen skill guidance, while Advanced mode strips that away entirely, rewarding players who can read attack patterns and execute precise counters with higher scores.
The mode also introduces a seasonal ranking system split across three tiers: Assault, Onslaught, and Extreme, with promotions and demotions determined by weekly performance across all servers. Players can earn Furious Battle Loot Chests and Tokens of Valor based on their rankings, with the tokens exchangeable for additional rewards through NPC Tachros in Velia. To mark the launch, an in-game event running through May 24 lets players earn All-in-One Raid Chests by completing combo-based missions in Boss Blitz.
On the competitive side, the 2026 Martial God Championship is nearing its conclusion after a busy preliminary phase. The 1vs1 matches ran from May 7–8, with 2vs2 preliminaries following from May 9–10. The top eight competitors from both formats will clash in the main stage finals on May 16, broadcast live on the official Black Desert Mobile YouTube channel.
Running alongside the finals is a winner prediction event, open from May 12–16. Players who correctly predict the champions of both the 1vs1 and 2vs2 competitions before the live broadcasts will receive an exclusive in-game title, with Black Pearls on offer for anyone who gets at least one prediction right.
