SCUF Gaming has officially unveiled the SCUF Omega, a new officially licensed pro controller for PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles designed around competitive play, deep customization, and ultra-low latency performance. Launching globally on May 12, 2026, the controller also supports PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.
The Omega represents SCUF’s latest flagship controller after more than a decade of development in the competitive controller space. The company, now operating under the CORSAIR umbrella, says the new device incorporates lessons learned from 15 years of esports-focused hardware design and over 160 patented innovations tied to controller technology and player ergonomics.
Rather than simply iterating on previous SCUF designs, Omega appears focused on delivering a more modular and highly responsive experience aimed at competitive shooters, fighting games, and fast-paced multiplayer titles. Mechanical inputs are a major part of the package, with Omron mechanical switches powering the triggers, D-pad, and face buttons to provide shorter actuation distances and more tactile feedback similar to gaming mice.
One of the biggest additions is support for 11 extra customizable inputs, including rear paddles, side-action buttons, and programmable G-keys. Players can remap controls and fine-tune controller behavior using the new SCUF mobile app available on iOS and Android. The app allows users to adjust dead zones, trigger sensitivity, thumbstick response curves, and other gameplay settings in real time.
The controller also introduces TMR “Endurance” thumbsticks, which SCUF says are designed to improve durability while maintaining the feel and responsiveness of traditional analog sticks. Competitive-focused refinements continue with instant triggers, lightweight ergonomics, and the removal of vibration modules to reduce overall controller weight and minimize distractions during gameplay.
On PC, Omega supports 1K polling rates in both wired and wireless modes for faster communication between the controller and system, helping reduce input latency in supported games. The SCUF Omega launches worldwide on May 12, 2026. Pricing details have not yet been announced.
