CORSAIR has expanded its PC case lineup with the new 2800X RS-R ARGB, a compact Micro-ATX chassis that brings several features typically found in larger mid-tower cases. Available now in black and white, the new case starts at $89.99.
The 2800X is essentially a smaller version of CORSAIR’s 3500X, targeting builders who want to save desk space without giving up support for high-end hardware. Despite its compact footprint, the case offers clearance for graphics cards up to 410mm long and supports 360mm radiators, making it suitable for modern gaming and workstation builds.
Despite being a micro-ATX case, the 2800X RS-R does not disappoint when it comes to cooling. The case ships with three pre-installed RS120-R ARGB reverse-rotor PWM fans mounted on the side intake, while the chassis supports up to ten 120mm fans in total for users planning more elaborate cooling setups.
Like many recent showcase-style cases, the 2800X features tempered glass front and side panels, giving builders a clear view of their components and RGB lighting. The included fans use CORSAIR’s Magnetic Dome bearings for quieter operation and connect directly to the motherboard, eliminating the need for a separate fan controller.
CORSAIR has also included several builder-friendly features, including support for reverse-connector motherboards from ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE for cleaner cable management. A built-in adjustable GPU anti-sag bracket is included as well, helping support heavier graphics cards found in today’s high-performance PCs.
Storage options include space for up to two SSDs or a single hard drive behind the motherboard tray, while the front I/O offers both USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C ports.
Users looking to expand the system later can also add CORSAIR’s iCUE LINK ecosystem through the optional COMMANDER DUO controller, allowing compatible fans and liquid coolers to be managed through the company’s iCUE software.
Micro-ATX cases have become increasingly popular as more builders look to reduce the size of their systems without sacrificing compatibility with flagship graphics cards and modern cooling hardware. The 2800X continues that trend by offering support for full-size components in a more compact chassis. Compared to laptops, PC builds in these micro-ATX cases still offer more value and performance.
The CORSAIR 2800X RS-R ARGB is available now through the company’s webstore and authorized retailers worldwide. It carries a suggested retail price of $89.99 and is backed by a two-year warranty. For local listings and pricing updates, buyers will need to check their local retailers and digital stores.
