TEAMGROUP has expanded its storage lineup with the launch of the ACE 8K microSDXC Memory Card, a new high-capacity memory card aimed at creators using action cameras, drones, gimbal cameras, and other handheld imaging devices capable of recording high-resolution video.
The new card is designed to meet the growing storage demands of modern content creation, as more consumer and professional cameras adopt support for 4K and 8K video recording. TEAMGROUP says the ACE 8K has been tested for compatibility with a range of popular imaging devices, including products from DJI and Insta360, making it suitable for users capturing everything from travel footage to aerial photography and immersive 360-degree video.
Built around the MicroSDXC 6.1 specification and UHS-I interface, the ACE 8K carries both the A2 Application Performance Class and V30 Video Speed Class ratings. The A2 certification is intended to improve application loading and overall responsiveness on compatible mobile devices, while the V30 rating guarantees sustained write speeds required for smooth recording of high-resolution video, including 4K UHD footage. Although TEAMGROUP markets the card toward 8K-capable devices, actual recording performance will depend on factors such as the camera model, recording codec, bitrate, and firmware.
The ACE 8K will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities, giving users a range of options depending on their storage requirements. The larger capacities are particularly suited to creators recording long-form footage or working with high-bitrate video, where storage can fill up quickly.
In addition to performance, TEAMGROUP is emphasizing durability. The company says the memory card has undergone internal validation testing and includes protection against water, shocks, X-rays, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and extreme temperatures, helping safeguard data when used in demanding outdoor environments or during travel.
The company is also positioning the product as part of its broader environmental initiatives. The ACE 8K is manufactured in a lead-free production environment and complies with both RoHS and REACH environmental standards.
TEAMGROUP notes that it has verified compatibility with several current-generation devices in its own testing, including the DJI Pocket 3, DJI Pocket 4, DJI Avata 360, Insta360 X5, Insta360 Ace Pro 2, and Insta360 Luna Ultra. A complete compatibility report is available through the company’s website.
The TEAMGROUP ACE 8K microSDXC Memory Card is backed by a lifetime warranty in most regions, with Japan receiving a 10-year warranty. It will be offered in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities, though pricing and retail availability have not yet been announced.
