Samsung Announces Next Generation Neo QLED TVs, 110-inch Micro LED TV Available for Sale This Year

Samsung Neo QLED

Samsung has announced its next generation of QLED TVs and it is called the Neo QLED which features an all-new backlighting technology called Quantum Mini LED that uses smaller LEDs. The new and smaller LED lights eliminate the need for a layer of lenses to capture and transmit backlight illumination.

Samsung currently uses quantum dot technology in its QLED TVs and now is following bringing a new methodology for the new generation TVs. In the next generation of Samsung QLED TVs, compact Quantum Mini LEDs will be featured. each compact Quantum Mini LED also emits its own light similar to how OLED screens work, but since they are made of inorganic material, there will be no chance of burn-in for them.

The Quantum Mini LEDs can also pack more light in the same space which results in more bright and vibrant viewing and greater backlighting zones. The smaller LEDs offer much more control on brightness and bloom which results in higher contrast and deeper blacks. The height of mini LEDs is 1/40th of a conventional LED which will help Samsung reduce the thickness of its new TVs.

Not only has the LED technology changed, but Samsung has also introduced a new AI Quantum processor in the Neo QLED TVs. The new processor is capable of processing 8K image upscaling and object-tracking sound that follows the action happening on the screen. Samsung Neo QLED TVs also come with Google Duo built-in

The Neo QLED TVs will also come with gaming-focused features which include Ultrawide Gameview. This feature gives users the option of turning their TV into an ultrawide 21:9, or even super ultrawide 32.9, display. Secondly, there’s a new Game Bar UI that allows players to quickly change their aspect ratio, check input lag, and connect a gaming headset.

Samsung says that the flagship Q90A model will be the first to come in the Neo QLED TV series. Samsung has announced a new Neo QLED QN900A 8K TV as well. Pricing and availability are not known at this moment.
