Indie developer and publisher Airstrafe Interactive has announced that its open-world multiplayer shopkeeping survival game Saleblazers is heading to Steam Next Fest in October. Saleblazers is a unique game inspired by Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Valheim, and Moonlighter. You will be teaming up with other players to gather, fish, farm, and fight as you shop on a dangerous island. Check out the trailer for Saleblazers below before we jump into additional details:
The concept of Saleblazers is pretty simple where you must find resources and set up your very own shop in a reactive open-world sandbox. The world is observed by law enforcement and customers that have a mind of their own. Based on your shop, you can cater to hungry college students, tourists, and any other customers that you may find in the game. Gathering, crafting, farming, fishing, buying, and stealing will allow you to keep your shelves stacked with products that you can sell and even steal back from the customers after selling them.
However, doing such deeds will attract law enforcement and you will have other problems at your hands when they show up at your doorstep. Apart from this, while exploring, you will also have to watch out for creepy creatures, pouncing predators, enemy factions, shoplifters, and vandals. You can pick up a variety of things that come your way and use them as weapons such as tables, chairs, bats, swords, and scythes. Enabling PvP invasions also allows other real-world players to invade your game and depending on their nature, they will either be peaceful, or they will wreak havoc in your server.
Key features of Saleblazers include:
- Systems-based multiplayer shopkeeping survival simulation
- Dynamically reactive AI customers and NPC employees
- Many ways to play in a perilous open world environment
- Narrative campaign across vibrant, hand-crafted districts
- Optional PvP invasions and proximity voice chat
Saleblazers is currently not open to the public however you can apply for jumping in the Saleblazers Playtest by joining the official Discord channel of the game and asking for access there. After applying for it, there is still a chance that you might or might not get access to the Playtest however if you are itching to try it out, you can try out the new demo which will be featured in the upcoming Steam Next Fest on October 3, 2022.
