New Turok: Origins Gameplay Trailer Shows Off Co-Op Dino Hunting Ahead of Fall Release

Turok: Origins Switch 2 gameplay

Saber Interactive has released a brand-new gameplay trailer for Turok: Origins, offering the best look yet at the upcoming reboot of the classic dinosaur-hunting franchise. Alongside the new footage, the developer has confirmed that the game is still on track to launch this fall for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The latest trailer showcases the game’s blend of first- and third-person combat as players battle hordes of dinosaurs alongside an alien threat threatening humanity’s survival. Unlike previous entries in the series, Turok: Origins is built around both solo play and online co-op, allowing players to tackle its campaign alone or with friends.

Players will step into the role of the Order of the Turok, legendary warriors tasked with protecting humanity. Throughout the adventure, you’ll explore the Lost Lands, a world filled with dense jungles, ancient ruins, and alien environments, while taking on towering bosses and uncovering the mystery behind the invasion.

Combat revolves around a mix of traditional and futuristic weaponry. Players will have access to everything from bows and shotguns to plasma rifles and alien weapons, all of which can be upgraded as they progress. The game also introduces special Turok abilities that can be unlocked by collecting Echoes, allowing players to customize their playstyle and gain new combat advantages.

While the original Turok games were primarily known for their fast-paced single-player action, Turok: Origins appears to be taking the series in a different direction by placing a greater emphasis on cooperative gameplay without abandoning its signature dinosaur hunting.
