Founder of Capybara Games Nathan Vella Joins Annapurna Interactive

Indie game veteran and former president and co-founder of Capybara Games, Nathan Vella has just joined the executive leadership team over at Annapurna Interactive. Vella brings along his 15 years of independent game studio experience to the publisher.

The announcement was made by Annapurna Interactive who seem to have secured Vella for a position with the top leadership team over the company.  Annapurna also says that with the extensive background in the indie games scene, Vella will provide valuable knowledge and leadership to help support the publisher’s mission of working with indie game developers to produce personal experience for everyone.

On the other hand, Nathan Vella himself was also quite excited about joining Annapurna Interactive.

Annapurna Interactive quickly proved they were one of the top publishers, and I doubt I could find another with a better combination of skill and love for games. I’m really excited to leverage my experience to help these awesome creators make the best games they can.

Before joining Annapurna Interactive, Vella was the president and the co-founder of the award-winning independent game studio, Capybara Games. The studio was well known for titles like Super Time Force & Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, and Grindstone. As a strong supporter of the independent creators throughout his entire career, Vella has also founded the Indie Fund which has helped invest more than 4- independent titles.

President of Annapurna Interactive, Nathan Gary, had this to say about Vella joining the publishing company.
